So Eric Gordon (as the talent) from the Rockets side, would be Minny's fallback option if the Warriors don't want to include Thompson? Minny wants a top talent in a Love move, I am sure Morey is looking for teams willing to include a talent in a 3 way. Maybe Gordon is it. If Morey pulls this off and keeps Parsons.....that would be amazing.
Really holding out hope that Treyk3's info about Eric Gordon being brought into a larger deal with the Love/Wolves deal happens. Maybe Rockets can include Philly and route Thad Young to the Wolves. Just any way to get "starter talent' to Minny so the Rockets dont have to give up Parsons.
but why would Nawlins give up Gordon, only to get back Lin and Martin? Seems like they could do better if they wanted to move Gordon
because his contract is horrible and he is always injured. if they want more, throw them another pick or something...whatever it takes to get this trade done!
Doubt they'd be interested in Lin, but Martin is a cheaper/relatively injury free (these days) Gordon replacement. They may be interested in Brewer as well. A Brewer/Davis/Asik front court would be scary. As for Minny, I can see them being interested in so many players that are relatively open to being moved: TJ, Parsons, Thad Young, Gordon, Ryan Anderson...could be interesting. If 3 of those guys + NOLA pick are available, must be enticing.

This mostly matches with information I have. The Asik trade has definitely been agreed to but it's being held for a while in hopes of morphing it into a bigger deal. There is the possibility that PHX could be involved for Gordon since Gordon originally signed an offer sheet from them and really wants to go to PHX. I did get an indication of a possible S&T involving Bledsoe going to Minny with Gordon and the Asik pick going to New Orleans. Lots of moving parts. And lots and lots of talks with different teams that's being kept on the down-low.
And Coben has a book caller "deal breaker". TWolves want to include a second Kevin (Martin) which is the deal breaker. Coben's books mostly have sad titles
looking at the titles of all his books makes me cringe at the rockets hopes of landing anyone. still have faith in morey however.

I don't even think it's a bad contract. He's only making $7mil per. That's pretty good for a 6MOY candidate who can light it up from 3.
Plus if they added K mart maybe Harden wouldn't play 38 minutes a game and he could afford to use some energy on D.
