Just would like to point out that it's not the end of the world if we strike out on LBJ, Love, Melo (lol), or whoever else this season. Harden's 23, Howard's 29. We got time to wait, lots of capspace and I hear a certain player named Kevin Durant is about to hit the market some time soon... Hell I'd be happy if we just upgraded the roster, we lure KG and Pierce and suddenly this Rox team is ready to make noise. There's lot of options and all the doors are open when you have significant cap room, the best C and the best SG in the league.
Except we trade Asik not Lin. I doubt they'll take Lin and give us a first founder. Which means, we keep Lin this season. Unless we do a sign and trade with Toronto to get Lowry here. Splash
Well I have to give it to Doc Rocket for the clues, they get better and better LOL. I think he gets the leak the day before and then spends another day looking for the cryptic translation LOL.
Yeah, I just checked. But if we follow what Trey said that the Asik trade might even be bigger than it is, we could do that trade.
This is why unlike last year, I'm not too concerned either if we don't get our guy. Even if the Rockets strike out on literally everyone, there are plenty of players that are salary dumps waiting to happen. Milwaukee Bucks to me is a perfect example of mediocre players floundering in bad situations. I still love Illyasova. Delfino may have recovered from his injury. Zaza would be a perfect Dwight backup. Toronto probably also have a gluttony of random players. Amir Johnson may be replaced by PPat. I still love Hayes if he can be had for free. Yeah, there are lots of possibilities. Between trades and the MLE, the Rockets can legitimately go 9 deep next year in terms of starting caliber players.
Because we have D12. He's all I ever wanted. I do think the set tender of Asik/pick is just a foundation to work around. It establishes Asik's value and converts him to an asset that can be traded to teams that don't covet a defensive C because that is a more limited market. It may or may not come to fruition but it greases the wheels and will have NBA front office staff working 24/7 for a couple of weeks. Doc had a bunch of good tweets last night, says: Cyber is more likely to be right and Love is the best most possible deal.
Sorry, late to the party. Any chance Mr. Coben refers to his book "Seconds Away" AND Pierce, who wore #34 with Celtics? Maybe we have a deal in place with Minnesota that includes Parsons, but won't pull trigger unless we have a vet locked in to replace Parsons.
1 more quick note: Codman said previously there was some behind the scenes stuff going on that would definitely result in moves. "Think KG Carmelo Cheerios beef." Anybody know why Parsons and his GF broke up? Maybe something happened that resulted in Parsons wanting a move, making Morey more open to it as well? Just throwing crap against a wall!
I applaud you... Very well put together! *thumbs up* BUT... Will Minnesota go for that for getting rid of Love? :\ I know they are trying to shed salary but... just saying.
Not bad but I don't see why the Pellies would do that trade unless they really want to get rid of Gordon's contract. Adding Lin and Martin just creates more of a log jam in their guard rotation.
Time to get Deng and Blatche on the phone smh. I really think there is a small chance we get love but Parsons will be included in any deal that occurs
