How in the world did we miss out on getting Kevin Love? Boston was giving them Marcus Smart and James Young. GSW was offering Klay Thompson. Rockets was offering Terrence Jones and crappy 1sts. Kevin Love's timeline has always been after Melo/LeBron. Because it would require agreement from Parsons in a S&T for the Rockets to be competitive. There's no indication Parsons will agree to a S&T. Even if he agrees, it would mean the timing has to be during FA after he's talked with the Wolves and can work out a contract that's agreeable to both parties. The Rockets never had a chance at Love before Parsons has had a chance to talk with them.

The way I see it, the worst possible scenario is happening for the Rockets. We might lose Parsons, we lost Asik. And we struck out on LBJ and Melo. ****.

I just want to laugh. When DocRocket was speaking in riddles, half the people believed him. When DocRocket doesn't speak in riddles, suddenly EVERYONE believes him. I hope you are right! I went from extremely optimistic about this offseason to extremely dreadful. There is not a single report that has come out in the past two weeks that has been good news for the Rockets. And I don't mean just Doc Rocket.
Gibson would be awesome. No doubt it would be awesome to have Melo or LBJ however, I dont feel like missing out on those big names are a big deal. What the Rockets need the most is defense and hustle players. We could still get 2 solid rotation/starter types. Putting a commitment on defense would be better than Melo playing here, in my opinion
If Love really is in the air for Houston, then a trade even it includes Parsons (S&T), TJ/D-Mo, Canaan and NOP pick should be hammered out ASAP if opportunity is there. Would love to also get one/all of either Dieng/Brewer/Shved as well to compensate for loss of Asik, Parsons and very likely Lin.
