NYDN...... Come on Carl. I know you are just trolling here, but guys this is not a reliable source at all, and given the fact that we are talking about Melo leaving NEW YORK + the NYDN, it just adds that much less reliability.

Nope, we'd still have Harden and Howard and a young up and coming team that would probably win 55 games and make a decent playoff run, perhaps more depending on what moves are actually made.

 

Harden is starting to annoy me.

I've always tried to believe the best of him but little things like is this and acting like he is too good or shouldn't be blamed for bad games really annoys me. It just comes off as really immature. Like he wants to be the superstar but doesn't want the responsibilities.

I get it if you don't want to get too involved with recruiting player but you should at least put an effort into talking with guys and generally putting yourself out there. When there are comments like "I'm not going to recruit", it's comes off as you're not with the team and arrogant. Adding a Lebron and Melo to a lesser extent, no matter how unlikely it is, immediately makes the team a favorite. Not wanting to be a part of the process kind of says "Yeah, we don't need you".

I just hoped that after such a bad playoff series, Harden would want to be more involved. Having the chance to add a significant piece or even the best player in the NBA is something I would want my franchise player to want to be a part of.

 

I think Harden and Howard give up easy you play rough with them they shut it down they are all stars and I want them in Houston but if we don't land somebody to help them we need a bench full of Beverleys

 

Honestly I feel James is upset that everyone thinks we need to recruit another super star. He probably feels that he had to recruit Dwight since the team needed another stud to hell him. Now that Howard is here, he probably feels that free agents should come to Houston to help with a title run next season. The days of recruiting were over once Dwight landed for James.

No one knows what Melo is going to do at this point, including Melo. Sit back and let it unfold.

 

Depends on Chandler's contract and how much the salary cap increases. Right now the cap is projected at $66.5M, but if it increases like it did this past season, it would be more like $68M. Let's be conservative and say we get Parsons on an extension for about a $10M cap number next year, we would (as of now) have about $56M committed to Howard, Harden, Parsons, Jones, Beverly, DMo, Canaan, and Covington. Of course that is assuming we make no other commitments this offseason.
