Why not? Since Asik has been traded and Lin is very likely to be traded to facilitate the Lebron/Melo sweepstakes, who do you see on the remaining Rockets bench that has that spot locked up? Gentile is better than Delfino, who was once the Rockets' 6th man.
I'm italian and I know Gentile very well. I can assure you he is a very good player but, just like any european guy, we have to wait and see if he will adapt or not. Gentile is a way better shooter (and assist man) than Belinelli.

2 years guaranteed contract and a promise from McHale to be in the rotation. I hope he comes. We need depth.
I can see how it could be daunting for a Euro to go from being 'the man' on a championship team to just being another bench guy in the NBA. It would be a huge come down for your ego.
