Asami is still super thirsty this season, but for the V this time.

It seems the Fire Nation hasn't changed its style since Aang died. Zuko is dressed like a bad guy but is a good guy complete with funny anecdotes about when he was a bad guy. It's disorienting, but hilarious. I cant wait for him to unleash his badassery.

I'm curious to see how each one of these new villains could take down a country by themselves especially a guy that wasn't a bender in the first place.

I'm tempted to borrow those episodes from the internet now.

I was thinking this about Asami too, and it would be a trip if they actually subtlety alluded to Asami or Korra being bi. I know that would never happen tho, lol

And yeah I'm gonna have to search out those episodes myself. If you find some good quality ones let a brotha know

3 great episodes. Legend of Korra really found its stride after Wan's episode.

I wonder if they'll explain WHY those escaped prisoners are apparently so powerful. Not that I need a logical, step-by-step explanation, but if they gave Zuko such concern there must be something different about them.

I'm sure we'll get a lovely flashback episode explaining all. And if it's as good as the flashback Wan episode that would be f n amazing

In other news, Nickelodeon is still a joke.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p><a href="https://twitter.com/reiko4509">@reiko4509</a> At the moment, the schedule is slated to have two new eps air every Friday starting on July 11 at 8pm/7c</p>&mdash; Nickelodeon (@NickelodeonTV) <a href="https://twitter.com/NickelodeonTV/statuses/484364075015884800">July 2, 2014</a></blockquote>

I mean, seriously? It's their best show, and they're trying to burn through the season as fast as possible? That's like AMC putting Breaking Bad or HBO putting GoT on a Friday and airing 2 episodes in a row.

Korra doesn't deserve this. But other outlets (CN, Disney) probably wouldn't pick it up either, so Korra is stuck with Nick.

I'm just glad there's a guaranteed season / Book 4. The ratings are especially bad this year, only because Nick can't market the show at all.

Well maybe the show / universe should wrap up after Korra season 4. Don't get me wrong, I really like it. But I don't know how long they can keep this going and keep it this good. It'd be neat to have 4 series' - one centered around an avatar of each element - but I doubt they can pump out enough quality episodes for that long.

Like I said before: Nick has been trying to kill this show since the original last air bender days.. the Big three don't like these type of shows, especially with a female lead, ESPECIALLY now that Asami seems to be taking a more targeted role this season with Korra. Enjoy it now fellas, I'll enjoy the hour of quality TV.

The World of avatar still has so many stories to tell.. they basically skipped 70 years of story for Avatar Korra. I mean they even put the story of Zuko's mother in a comicbook instead of the show. There is PLENTY to be told if someone will let them tell the story.

Agreed. I thought there'd be a bit of dropoff, regarding quality, in going from Aang to Korra. But there really wasn't.

I have no reason to believe that the quality would drop from Korra to whatever the Avatar team decides to do next.

Also, there aren't any filler episodes for Korra as there was for Aang, so that also maintains the level of high quality the show presents with.

Nickelodeon is insane. I'll enjoy getting an hour of Korra every Friday, but damn, they really do seem to be trying to kill this show.

I have yet to watch the second season, will probably do it later on a long weekend. But what's the reason behind Nickelodeon not liking its own show? Does this mean after Korra ends, there won't be any more Avatar?

First of all, Korra airs on a Friday, which is a really crappy idea. Airing two episodes back-to-back means the season will end faster. This might be okay in the fall and spring, but kids and their parents usually go on vacation around this time. A three-week vacation means 6 episodes unseen, essentially. And that's like half the season.

Kids also aren't super inclined to ask for the DVD/BR after it's been released unless they know about it or if their parents see it in stores - both of which are unlikely to occur as Nick doesn't advertise anything about it. The only reason I knew about the July 1 release date for Book 2 BR was because I stayed on top of any news regarding it.

tl;dr? Trying to burn off a season as fast as possible in the summer skews the ratings negatively and it also disallows current fans and new fans to really get into the season because it's IN THE FREAKIN' SUMMERTIME.

Nick's crappy advertising + burning a season as fast as possible = negative ratings. Negative ratings = weak consideration for future incarnations of Avatar.

I didn't like book 1 that much but book 2 was awesome and book 3 seems even better. I downloaded the leaked episodes 4-6 and they are really good. I can't wait until the rest of the season comes out.

Another good two episodes. Love the new city, but damn did they leave you hanging at the end. I'm expecting a flashback episode explaining some of Lin's early history.

Also does anyone else think it's possible that Lin is actually Opal's mother instead of Su and that's part of the reason why she pushed her away? Just a thought

I just keep lol-ing at this comment and now that is all I can think of when I see Asami and Korra together. Dang, I thought this was a kids' show. LOL.

Season 3 is turning out to be excellent so far.

Yeah either [your reasoning in the spoiler] or the fact that there was a serious incident that happened with Lin while Opal was really young. Perhaps it was a really scarring incident. Maybe it would explain Lin's scar(s) on the right side of her jaw? (I don't think they've ever mentioned that in the show.)

I hope they expand on that guy that was a truth seeker, though. He was given more of an introduction than other characters (of how he's a human polygraph).

I'm not really seeing how Asami is thirsty for Korra, lol. The writers, however, just seemed to disregard the whole Mako / Korra / Asami triangle, though. I know Asami and Mako broke up, then Mako and Korra broke up, and I know there are more important storylines than yet another romance, but it's just weird how that's fallen by the wayside. You'd think it'd be awkward, but nope.

LOVE that Bolin is getting a love interest, though it's apparently really easy to get girls in this show. Jinora is thirsty for Kai within like, a minute of seeing him, and Opal / Bolin are thirsty for each other after 2 minutes of meeting each other.

They're all teenagers right? Teenagers are thirsty in general.

And I believe they talked about the awkwardness briefly in the first or second episode. They'll just glaze over it since this is a kid's show but if this was on some adult ish they'd have an accidental threesome, lol

Cool to see Kya finally in some action. Metal Clan's place looked so legit, glad to see they're out of republic city and exploring other places.

Yeah, I'm really liking the approach they've taken with the characters. I may be in the minority here, but I liked how they were all split up last season, doing their own thing / having their own storylines. Aside from Korra's character development regressing at the start of Spirits, I thought it was a good Book.

I'm glad that Beifong is accompanying Korra and gang though - I really missed her character last season.

I'm wondering if most of the story is going to be set in the Metal Clan place though. I'm guessing a lot of the plot is going to be around Korra trying to convince Suyin to let Opal come to the Northern Air Temple to train in Airbending.

They really need to delve into some of the story that filled that 70 year gap though. Tenzin named dropped "Chief Sokka" when he was talking about Zaheer and co. and how they tried to kidnap little Korra, but I wish they'd go into more detail about everyone. It'd be great to get some history - really nostalgic!

They skipped 70 years ahead with legend of Korra. I find it really interesting that technology advanced as well so they now have things like radio, TV and cars, things that would have been completely out of place in the original series.

If they do make another 2 series, I would love for them to skip 70 years ahead each time. The third would feature an Earthbending avatar living in the contemporary world with current technology. The fourth season would have a Firebending avatar living in a world 70 years into the future from now, with robots, hovercrafts, holograms...etc.

Can't think of another TV show where each season is set in a completely different time period.
