Lowry is a great player man, but the way they threw him to the curb ... no way he comes back to play great under Mchale ... won't happen ... and Lowry has only had like 2 healthy seasons ... Rondo will be the ideal PG for us ...
I actually think this is what Doc Rockets tweet was from earlier. I posted in the other thread that I thought that Minnesota was trying to get a trade done to move Love to Boston but Minny didn't want everything that Boston had to offer so they wanted to bring in Houston as the third team. Essentially we would trade parsons to the wolves for rondo so that Love could move to Boston. After Boston drafted that back court, it's seems that this might have something to it.
thats silly ... why give up parsons ... i mean i don't mind giving up parsons if its necessary but should't have to ... rondo only has a year on his contract and we can get him without parsons ... if we give up parsons ... we should give them Lin as well ... and get Rondo plus bradley plus pick
I don't think the Rockets should let him go and I still think it's secondary to signing LBJ or Melo. However if we trade Lin for cap space like we've been hearing, I don't think Canaan is ready. We would need a point guard, either a starter or back up. It's just speculation on my part from a tweet of Doc's. It seems feasible if we were to get Melo or LBJ that Parson's could be expendable to a certain degree. If we were to trade him, the pg would be a position of need. I would assume that having Rondo at pg would be an upgrade running with a big three.
hmmm ... i dont understand what your referencing ... i was referring to a scenario where we got no Bron or Melo ... simply get Rondo ... we cleared enough space by getting Asik away ... now trade Lin in a package to get Rondo ... but hold Parsons ... and backup rondo with Bev.
Yeah, I get you now. I don't know that Boston would be willing to do that trade or not. Would be nice. There was a tweet by DocRocket (yeah I know he seems to be acid around here lately) I got from it that T-wolves wanted Houston to get in on a three way trade with Boston, but that Houston was focused on their FA targets didn't want to be apart of it. Now, this is just me, not some insider info or anything else. It just seemed like if this trade were actually the case of Doc's cryptic tweet, it would make sense that the T-wolves were trying to facilitate a trade to get Love to Boston, he was there a few weeks ago. Hence my thought that the center piece of the trade would be for Love to Boston, Rondo to Houston, and Parsons to Minny. Parsons is the type of player that they want. Understand that I wouldn't do this trade if we didn't get a top FA like LBJ or Carmelo. I do believe that I would try for a trade involving Lin for Rondo or Lowry.

Wow! That is incredibly awesome. Many of us here thought it was a joke. I mean, how stupid of a move would that have been for the Raptors.... GREATEST PRACTICAL JOKE!
It's not so bad that the information was wrong or made up. I mean it happens often. The trade made absolutely no sense, common sense should have taken over and told him not to go with it.
