Anthony ain't worth that much money man. I rather offer trade for LOVE. Beside, LOVE is what we needed. That kind of money should be thrown at Lebron, not Anthony.

We'll know within the next 3 days, just as soon as Wade opts in to his contract it'll be clear that Lebron is leaving.

You speak about everything too matter of factly and it rubs people the wrong way, as obvious in other forums.

You may be right that Wade opts in and blows up the Big 3 (I think it's a strong possibility) but it's not a foregone conclusion and even it ends up happening it doesn't mean you were justified to act like it was.

Well if thats the case...then it would be us threatening to clear out capspace and sign him out right or they can take a 20 million TPE and some good draft picks.

Or they can let him walk for nothing.

In there situation with cap space next year and no much picks the picks and TPE are necessary.

LOL 2 a days and still taking his time (not until the 2nd week) that's longer than Dwight took.

Fair enough, I suppose I should have said "if" rather than "when" I just don't think it's very likely that he chooses to make less money in his career since he's at the very end of it. If he opts out and takes 10 mil like some are thinking, he probably won't make 42 mil for the rest of his life.

It's interesting that he is visiting instead of holding a summit like Dwight did.

Gives the Rockets a chance to show off some of their (less impressive than expected) renovations.

Jerry Krause their ex-GM made that famous remark, about organizations winning championships not players.

He and Reinsdorf were on the same page and disliked PJ. You are right on the money about PJ's personality.

Bulls = uncertain health of best player
Lakers = Rockets have more talent and depth
Mavericks = Rockets have more talent and depth
Rockets = best talent, best depth, and can offer near max

    So what am I missing?

I'm in agreement with you, but you never know. It all depends on how badly he wants to keep the Big 3 together. He has to know that him opting in greatly hurts the chances of them staying together.

Bosh has become more interesting to me the more I think about it. If I'm him I'm afraid if I opt out that the Heat may let me go and add someone else in my place lol!

The Rockets seem to make the most sense basketball wise, but that doesn't really mean anything. All that matters is what Melo thinks/wants.

Uncertain health of best player BUT apparently doesn't mind (or has confidence he'll return to all-star? form). Thibs, Noah, Chicago, Eastern Conference

    I'd say 1A. New York 1B. Chicago 2. Houston 3. Dallas 4. LA Lakers

The Bulls do have a better coach IMO.
The Lakers are a train wreck that I get a little giddy inside watching
Mavs do have a owner that players like (I think)
But the Rockets are still my favorite because of the 2 young all-stars + Parsons + Morey.

Bosh is another player that is will be taking a pay cut if he opts out and stays with Miami, or opts out and leaves. The only way he makes that much money is if he opts in to his contract, at this point Bosh is worth more like 13-15 mil a year, not 20.

Certainly Bosh is in a better position to opt out than Wade, because odds are Bosh has 3 or 4 more years in the league so he could make up the money he'd be passing on, but honestly it would make sense for both Bosh and Wade to opt in and make that money, they already have the rings.

Don't discount the other teams selling Melo on their recent track record and not just the current situation. The Lakers have 5 titles since 2000(and 2 other trips to the Finals). The Mavs have a title and another trip to the Finals since 2006 and they gave the Spurs more trouble than anyone else this past postseason. And the Bulls are far removed from the Jordan era, but it wasn't that long ago that they were in the ECF. The Rockets do have the best roster and the potential to contend right away with Melo, but they also haven't won a damn thing in a very long time.

It really all depends on what that trick LaLa wants.. Thats what it all comes down to and even Carmelo knows that..

^This; all the other teams have been closer to the Finals than we have in the past 10 years.

Coaching is our vice, because Bulls/Mavs have awesome coaches and can make strides.

Hopefully, we make a significant hire at the asst. coaching position.

I know I've complained, but the Mavs really do worry me about the potential they have to get him. He puts them over the top.
