LOL! OK, my bad. I wasn't paying attention to the time it was tweeted since I'm from halfway accross the world and too lazy to check the time difference. :)

Still, I think it's not a deciding factor where LBJ ends up.

LOL @ CF thinking Lebron is coming to Houston. We might even have the same squad from last season, stop jumping the damn gun like you guys do every damn season.

I've been thinking this exact thing for the past few days. I also believe that Melo is pretty much sold on Chicago and is just using Houston/Dallas to get the best deal... or maybe he just wants to have his butt kissed.

Then again, I never really thought Dwight would leave LA for Houston either and we know how that turned out.

Might be a stupid question, but... Can one team offer Melo a greater deal over the other, money-wise (other than NYK)? Because if he's looking for the best deal, isn't NYK the team who could offer him the best contract since he can sign a longer deal? HOU, CHI, DAL, can all offer max money but on a shorter contract (after clearing cap space)? Sorry, I'm not really familiar with salaries and contracts.

That said, I think LBJ still stays with MIA, regardless of his tweet.

Lebron doesn't know talents. He said last year Ben McLemore is going to be something. Well, look where he is now....lol. He clearly was a failure in his rookie debut.

I think Lebron is possible later in his career but now it is very improbable at best. It can happen of course.

He is still in his prime and I do not think Houston is good enough right now.

Would be great if Houston were in the Finals instead of the Spurs
He would definitely consider us, having played against us.

Lebron openly talks about his legacy, which leads me to believe only Miami or Cleveland are in the mix.

I love how Lebron James decides what is important for his team and not the other way around. Nappier is gonna be a good player, but the reason the Heat lost wasnt Nappier...it was because the other part of the Miami big 3 did not show. Seems he wont leave Miami, but its gonna be eerily similar to his Cleveland days.

Yeah, but Houston is the only team he can go to where he can legitimately average a triple double. And all the battles will be in the west the next 10 years. If he wants a new challenge... we just need a window of time with the guy. Then I think we might be able to light spark.

Shaq bounced all over the place. Never hurt his legacy.

I have said from the get go that we should not worry about this guy, he is not leaving miami. Focus on Melo, maybe Love as well. But if Melo falls through then use that money on Lowry and strong role players.

Yeah, but stints in PHO, CLE and BOS were when Shaq already had 4 rings - his legacy was already there.

James is still trying to work his way up that ladder. Plus, James is 29, while Shaq was around 35 when he started playing for Phoenix.

I think Lebron was just trying to validate his perceived talent recognition skills, he probably had Napier as the best player at his skills academy like 5 years ago even though he was the smallest person on the court. Now he is bragging a little, that being said I think it has no bearing on where he signs. Its like you really wanting to play with you little brothers friends that are like 7 years younger than you. I mean if they are good they can play but are you really gonna be excited about it.

It's no slight on you at all, but it was sort of mass-media and fan-fueled delusion. A lot of smart people were saying there was maybe a 2% chance of him leaving, and that sounds about right to me.

The only thing that made me wonder was Riley's bizarre and defensive presser, but maybe he was just PMSing and mad at the media.

Some of you guys act like Lebron has a committee of advisors crowding around, helping him compose his "Tweet," as if that idle comment is going to be the defining clue as to what James ends up doing. If he stays in Miami, and the odds are excellent that he will (unless he doesn't!), it won't be because Riles moved up a couple of spots to grab a rookie James mentioned that he likes. In my humble opinion, naturally.
