So Clowney played all last season with his hernia? https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/482275925304692737
According to his agent, he thought it was just a groin injury, like what everybody thought he had at his pro day. He passed all his physicals at the combine. Nobody caught it. It wasn't until OTA's that the Texans diagnosed it as a sports hernia. If this is true, it means that Clowney ran that 4.53 with the hernia. Kind of makes it more impressive.
-Fitz is our QB -Andre may not show up -Foster may not be the same -Cushing may not be the same Not sure how we can be so confident this is an 8 win team.
Not so concerned about Foster - all reports about him are positive and he has a decent supporting cast. Our running game should be strong. Andre if he turns up will be fine - and the reps will be shared around a bit more anyway. Cushing is a worry if he is still not up to his usual self. Hopefully Bullock will be a good lieutenant for him. I am even less concerned for the RT position with the extra blockers, but they will need to find a swing tackle or backup for sure for that line.
Well super bowl here we come... He's an undrafted free agent ILB who is slow as mud flowing up hill. Good on run defense but a complete liability in the passing game.
AHH lol ok, much more sense. I was like what is our kicker gonna do to keep Cushing healthy? On that note, while I am worried if Cushing can stay healthy or not, I a mnot worried about him being the same.. The dude is an absolute beast that hated watching our demise from the sidelines last game. He will be coming back with a vengence and gets to run between Clowney, Watt, and Nix.... opposing QB's are screwed
Sarcastic alert. Man don't nobody think we will make it to the superbowl. Shots mot even the organization and players don't think that. Lol But 8-10 with this weak ash schedule is not far fetched. It is very obtainable Remii. I predict 4-0 against the Jaguars and Titans. We could beat the Raiders, Browns, Bengals , and Bills. The Giants and Cowboys are not good teams so we can beat them to.
With all the scrutiny Clowney was under during the combine, and all the team physicals that were performed during his pre-draft visits. I am pretty sure that no one knew about the sport's hernia.
Please. Had everyone known about this before the draft....31 other teams would have still taken him at #1. I'm not a Rick Smith fan, but he shouldn't be fired for taking Clowney at #1. LOL.
No it's not far fetched. Any given Sunday anything can happen. But a fan of a 2-14 team is being VERY cocky when they look at a schedule and say we're going to beat that team and that team... And we'll be lucky if we win 1-2 game out of the 4 games against Tennessee and Jacksonville. Ken Whisenhunt is a proven commodity as a head coach and is the best coach in this division (per track record) and he has more to work with there than he had at San Diego last year especially with that nasty offensive line. And Jacksonville has the best GM in this division and they possible got the steal of the draft in Telvin Smith. Those teams you said we can beat are looking at there schedule saying the same thing about us. And speaking of the Bills... Have you seen that front 7..??? Those guys can really get after the quarterback. I believe this schedule is not as easy as you think it is.
Im betting we go to the playoffs.. i BELIEVE lol. I like our new coach, I like our new direction, we were ranked at the top in draft class.. our defense should be strong, and Im really excited about the new system. Sure I could be completely wrong and know nothing at all about the analysis of all the teams, but who knows.. I feel like they want to get right back into it and everyone (players and coaches) have something to prove. Also, said it before, Chiefs went 2-14 2 yrs ago, changed 32 players and staff members, went to playoffs the following year. so its not unheard of. Just my take, and hopeful dreamer fan lol
That doesn't mean they will be any good. Both Jacksonville and Tennessee been hot garbage for 10 years now. We were in tank mode just like the Colts were when they went 2-14. It's amazing to me how you can find hope for those teams but can't find any for our teams. We have elite talent on both sides of the ball. Our defense was better than Buffalo and will be better than them this season. But hey Remii we shall see pimpn
I'm predicting 6 or 7 wins. Our biggest issues on offense last year were QB and RT and we really didn't improve either. We didn't really improve the DL. We maybe gained a NT (if he's healthy and in shape) but lost Antonio. We didn't improve the secondary and could actually be worse at nickel corner. Reasons for optimism on offense are Arian hopefully being healthy and Nuk taking a step forward in his sophomore year. Clowney on defense and hoping the trickle down effect means Reed at ILB results in a more productive LB corp. I just don't think that's enough to make a playoff push. The real reason for optimism comes down to the new coaching staff. And while I liked the hire, I'm not completely sold on OB. Nor am I on Crennel, who really hasn't had a good defense in a decade (maybe an OK one in 2011, but not a top D like in NE). I'm waiting to see how the team plays under them before I get too excited. Looking at things objectively, I just don't see a one year turnaround. The biggest thing that could've sparked that would've been acquiring a franchise level QB, but we understandingly punted on that issue. I think the team is taking a longer, more cautious and certain approach to rebuilding rather than trying to hit a home run right off the bat. As such, I'm not expecting them to pull a Colts or Chiefs. It's possible, but unlikely.
