It would be easier if Appel starts to get his **** together and turns it on for the second half... now that Correa is on the shelf, that's what I'm turning my second half hopes towards.

I like the way Singleton hits lefties.... I also like how Porter put Springer behind him today in order to try to get Jon more good pitches to hit.
Anyone here think that Altuve would have at least 30 steals this season let alone by the ASB? This guy has gone from leading the league in CS to leading it in SB. He is just a fun player to watch on the offensive side.
Matty Deez Nutz. Really hoping that today is turning it around for the guys. Rough stretch, but the slump buster Cosart may be doing it again.
Right?? I really think that combined with playing healthy is what is allowing this to continue. It has been a great half year for the guy.
I was pretty down on Altuve after 2 straight second half collapses, I'm still a little cautious, but man he has been spectacular. His defense has been much more adequate as well, after being a terrible defensive player in 2012. Still sub-par, but not a problem by any means. Steals too, while he still makes the occasional bone headed mistake. 30 steals while on 3 times caught is undeniably great.
He's striking out at half the rate of previous seasons gives me hope he can maintain a good average. I still wish he walked more, but it is a reasonable rate.
Not to mention he hasn't been caught in his last 15 attempts after getting caught twice in 4 days before that. Impressive.
Cosart has become the stopper for this team. 12 straight starts allowing 3 runs or less. More importantly, he's not walking people, 9 walks in his last 6 starts. If we can finish this one off, it will be 4 consecutive wins in his starts, and 7 of the last 9. Very Nice
