I don't think we will have to give up a pick to trade Lin, probably Jones or Dmo plus some cash. Either way, I hope he gets traded soon so the Rockets and him can move forward from this situation. I liked Lin on our team and routed for him to be successful, but it has been clear for a long time that he wasn't in our long term plans, basically since we added Harden. I wish him well on his next team and hope he does great and continues to grow, while we move on to win CHAMPIONSHIPS!

There are several picks in the late 20s "to be had," one exec says. lol lowry is not coming back to houston. he'll go to LA before he comes back this way. wouldn't be good for the team even though hes a good player
Why not? He said in an article this year that he regrets the way he handled things in Houston. There is nobody to challenge him for the starting spot and he'd get to play with two stars.
Well said. But I don't think lin will be traded until a superstar free agent is landed for sure. Asik wants to be traded so it makes sense to move him first to show that rockets CAN have the money to sign big FA. But even that is not a done deal yet.
You are a fan of one of the lowest bball IQ players in the league. How can you possibly say we don't know basketball when your favorite player can't even figure out when to call a timeout? He lost us a playoff series with his low bball iq. I'll back up gmoney on this one iJHolmes, Lowry had very positive things to say about Houston and Kevin McHale. So, why wouldn't he be good for the team? I'm all ears.
Just a random idea It would be cool if we could just trade Lin and our 25th pick for a second rounder tonight. Gets Lin off the books and the pick wouldn't count against the cap until after most of free agency. I could totally see Philly doing a deal like that too.
Rockets fans around here will be plenty happy, but something tells me the rabid Lin fans who think that other teams fan bases are going to somehow be more receptive to the Lin crazies and that it's just Houston and clutchfans who just "hate Lin" are in for a rude awakening. My bet is it will be just Groundhog Day for them with the next team. The new fan base will quickly grow tired of hearing about how if only for a,b and c Lin could be doing x, y and z. And some of the Lin fans will STILL think it's not them who are rubbing people the wrong way.
Name another team who has a better shot at a title then us, who can to sign him to a 10 mill a year contract?

Chad Ford is reporting that Cavs are asking 76ers for #3, #10, #32 from the 76ers to move up to #1 to get Wiggins. 76ers could do that deal, then make a deal with the Rockets to get #25+Lin to make up for the loss of their other 1st round pick.
lol, no they won't. Rocket fans will be extatic, LOF will realize that the Rockets/McHale were never the problem when Lin struggles on his next team.
How do you figure? If you mean there will be plenty of insults going back and forth, how is that any different from when we signed Lin till now? LoF's can b**** about whatever the hell they want. That doesn't change the fact that the majority of Rockets fans are ecstatic to see them go. I personally don't care if Lin blows up on his next team or scrubs out of the league. I have 0 emotional attachment towards him as he moves on in his career. I am looking forward to a brighter future, one which hopefully holds a 3rd star on our team and a lack of LoF's in GARM.
