Sounds like DocRocket is saying don't talk about it.. be about it. Everybody wants the big-name player.. but if the Rockets clear the space and show they are serious, all the pretenders will sit down.
Current prediction: Lin stays, Bev leaves for a pick, Lowry signs for 4/40, D-Mo/Jones/Asik Pick/Bev Pick used for midseason trade. Hopeful prediction: LeBron or Love this summer, or Carmelo and LeBron if Morey is feeling frisky enough to send out Harden after Lin is gone to open up space. LeBron probably only signs a 2 year deal with an opt out for year 3 so would make sense if management felt LeBron won't wait on Harden to refine his game further. Can just imagine a team with Bev Parsons LeBron Carmelo Dwight that actually takes on draft picks instead of sending them out to bring the team together.
Piggy backing off everyone else's thoughts: Saying ILOVEU 1611 times = Heat telling Lebron they love him and want him to stay won't pacify almost 54 revisers = won't change that they're a 54 win team who need 2B Loved! = and won't change that Wade doesn't want to be paid (Loved) like a 2B (second best) player. So basically Wade wants Max and is going to screw this up for the Big 3, and ultimately push Lebron out. Amidst all this crazy trade talk, Dwight Howard is probably the most relaxed Rockets, maybe Bev who have not come up in any trade talks. Talk of Harden being traded Talk of Parsons being traded Talk of Jones, DMo being traded Talk of others being cut and of course plenty talk of Lin being traded
Why are you plebs reacting to Chandler's tweet? He's reminding everyone that he was a 2nd rounder with little hope to catch on (where he started), but now he's an upper tier NBA player (where he'll finish).
Of course everyone is going to freak out about this. He's just saying that the draft is the beginning of your career, and shouldn't define you.
Agreed. He's probably just using himself as an example. Nobody really expects a second rounder to do much in the league and look at him now. He's a legit starter who is about to get paid a lot of money.
That could very well be true. OR, maybe Morey has informed him that he could POSSIBLY be traded to Minny if it means we can get LOVE. Either is possible, only Parsons knows what he means.
Then the idea that we can get Love is ludicrous. The idea that Minnesota would even listen to Morey would be ludicrous.
In your opinion it is. What team can give Minny: 1. $10+ million of cap space 2. the best draft picks 3. A young player or two or even a vet player on a value contract Name the team and the players and the picks. Chicago and Boston cannot give Minnesota all these things. We can....without giving up Parsons.
