everyone keeps saying that Harden is the best 2 guard in the league, but he STINKS in the playoffs. best 2 guard in the REGULAR SEASON, maybe.
you wouldnt trade harden for lebron or melo then sign lebron or melo beverly parsons melo james howard?
Why Melo? As I posted in another thread Love would be a much better fit than Melo. Howard/Love/Lebron would be insane. I hope Lebron isn't that big on playing with his friend Melo.
Exactly. That's the only reason. Having the best player in their position at SG, SF, and C would be ideal. But if we can't accomplish that because Lebron wants to play with Melo, then give up the best SG and work out the mess from there.
Team USA? Looks like we are clearing space to sign Lebron as FA. Then rox trade Lin + Parsons + TJones + every single pick for the next 10 years for Melo. Bev, Harden, Lebron, Melo and Dwight. Too good to be true. But if thats our starting 5, the rest of the team will be players on rookie contract and min vets. Not sure something that we would enjoy.
Its amazing how fast a fan base has turned on a player, an all star player at that. With out Harden we are nothing he put on back.on the map. There's no Dwight, no Melo or Lebron talk and no playoffs. **** be thankful.
I was sad when Steve was traded. I was upset how they handled tmac. This guy half assed it in the playoffs and the whole season. I'm good. I watched more Scola and Lowry than last year.
most of our threads are flooded with pipe dreams like this...it makes it harder to find legit info within the forum sometimes...pls stop

Rudolph knows more than anyone on the subject of dwight. Earlier he tweeted that he had been hearing a lot of rumors.
It's a business. And Harden alienated a lot of people with his lack of effort on Defense. That's 100% on him. He's still an all star player, but he was frustrating as heck to a LOT of people. And maybe Morey had a bit to do with that... it's not like Harden signed with us in FA. Morey traded for him and gave him a 5 year max. Harden left OKC over a handful of millions... a team that would have been a perennial championship contending team. Let's not kid ourselves and think that Harden was doing us any favors.
Who cares about regular season games? he's a choker when it matters. You on the other hand are able to complete whole sentences while having your head buried in his jock strap. What do you do for a living, sword swallower for circus ole'?
Gosh, I can only hope you're right, because I would feel so dirty having to trade Harden to get the King (though it would 100% be the right thing to do). I hope Melo sticks to his word and is willing to take a discount, and I think LeBron is already willing to do the same.
As posters have mentioned, its not Melo VS Harden...its melo and lebron vs Harden if getting melo gets us lebron. If that would be the case...why wouldn't we trade harden to Boston...they have 10 draft pics in the next 5 years. Then sign melo and Lebron. That would give us 3 first rounders this year and many in the future. Would that work as far as salary? Parsons would be in a pretty clogged position, we could push him to the backup sg/sf. Im not sure how the ST works under the new CBA, but we could trade him for a serviceable SG. Beverly/smart/cannan smart/parsons/Daniels Lebron/parsons Melo/Jones/draft pick DH/draft pick Let me know if theres any flaws in the process, its out there, but it will put championship banners in a packed stadium for now and the future. Dynasty in the making?
There's not enough cap room as both lebron and melo would demand significantly more than harden's 14.8m cap hit (Harden has a low max due to him being such a young player), it would have to be a trade allowing a +$5m salary match. While I've certainly flirted with the idea, there's a couple factors that don't make it particularly plausible to me. One is I'm not sure Lebron would do that, the 2nd is I'm fairly sure Lebron wouldn't even want that, if he's choosing us, he's choosing winning, short and long term over friends, he's got that in Miami, if that's the issue, then that's where he should be. Lebron's camp has been leaking, Tim Duncan, why not me? in reference to how his career has been prolonged through being able to wind right back through the regular season and trading the player best suited to doing that for him for years for a player older than Lebron, why would he really want that if his goal is rings?
Yeah the cap figures look to make my scenario unrealistic unless they take pay cuts. To the point of Melo vs Harden...I have this feeling that hardens stock really fell after this past postseason, he was a complete dud and showed no effort whatsoever on offense. Not sure if players are running to play with a player like that. Melo though a ballstopper, has shown to have more heart than harden IMHO.
