    I'v never been on board with the trade Harden BS (not for Carmelo), but if we were to get Love and Lebron, i'd do it in a heartbeat.

    We could also trade Parsons for a legit 2 like Afflalo, that's guaranteed championships lol

    I am assuming Morey wouldn't make the move otherwise. I imagine the protection changes as the years progress but I expect the pick to be had next year.

    Somewhere between 12 and 18.

    That wouldn't be good, but the bottom line here is to get cap room.
    The Pelicans may not be good enough to get into the playoffs next year, in a very strong Western Conference.

    Don't get too excited about the pick, because there's little chance Morey will hang on to it. If it does fall to us next year, it's likely to be in the 12-19 range (in a mediocre draft). Hard to imagine the Pelicans with Asik sucking badly enough to stay near the bottom of the WC.

    It's more probably that he'll dangle it was trade bait or use it to help offload Lin. Some dumbass GM would fall for the "could be as high as a #4 pick!" line from Jedi Morey if he waves his hand at them the right way.

    They may already know they can at least land a Lowry type player with the cap space as a backup plan; I doubt that LeBron or Melo have already committed.
