I do NOT like that we traded him to a team not only in our same conference but one also in our same division. That is why I said No in the questionnaire. Otherwise, hell yeah!

WE can beat them four times and help our chances at a higher pick :p.

Please ship Lin next. Please. Bring back the old board, the one that talked about the game that was actually played rather than what Lin did or didn't do. Please.

Don't get too attached. In the Lin/Asik signings, we bought two lotto tickets, doubled up on one and went for broke on the other.

    WOOHOO EVEN!

That old board ain't coming back, at least not while the Rockets are championship contenders.

Imagine what Clutchfans will look like if we sign Lebron...I'll pay that price any day of the week

Anyway Dallas was Moreys first option to trade Asik and when they got Chandler he pulled the deal with the Pelicans? Just thinking out loud. Really like the deal though and its one injury away from being a top 10 pick. I'm anxious to see what Morey can do with Lin too. Should be an exciting next couple of weeks.

Harden doesn't make enough for us to clear up a max slot for LeBron (and certainly not Melo). It works through S&T because of the 150% rule I believe. Someone will surely correct me if I'm wrong though.

We will probably have to give up a pick to dump Lin and get lebron or melo. Totally worth it.

Just out of curiosity, would the rockets receive a trade exception for both Lin and Asik? If we send them both out in separate deals, we would have an ~16.6 million trade exception would we not?

so in this scenario, the Rockets would have created the cap space to sign LeBron if he takes a slight discount. Could this ~16.6 million trade exception then be used as part of a sign and trade with the knicks for Melo? If we use the exception we wouldn't even have to give up Harden. We could send multiple picks, T-Jones, D-Mo, literally anything outside of Dwight and Harden.

If this is possible it would allow us to have Dwight, Melo, LeBron, AND Harden. It would even free us up to send Parsons to the Knicks in the sign and trade for Melo if need be.

This all hinges on if we would receive those large trade exceptions by trading Lin and Asik and if it would be possible to use both exceptions in a sign and trade with Melo.

Reverse protection like the Lowry deal. It's exactly like clutch reported.
