Well this is the same team that thinks they can land Kevin freaking Love for David Lee and Harrison Barnes so it's not all that surprising.
Boom! Now we know why Morey signed all these non-guaranteed contracts. Houston gets the first "big 4", with two trades: Lin ($8.33M) + DMo ($1.48M) + Casspi ($1.06M) + Covington ($.82M) = $11.89 million outgoing salaries to Knicks for Melo in sign and trade, with Melo receiving $16.89 M first year salary of 4 year deal. Asik ($8.33M) + TJones ($1.62M) + Canaan ($.82M) + Daniels ($.82M) + Powell ($1.31M) = $12.90 million in outgoing salaries to Heat for LeBron in sign and trade, with LeBron receiving $17.90 M first year salary of 4 year deal. New lineup: LeBron Melo Harden Howard Parsons Beverly #25 pick MLE player (or split with 2) LLE player
Yep harden is clutch. Want proof? Watch a repeat of the playoffs. If it wasn't for his clutch play we would of lost that series....... Oh wait.
Also there are so many threads. I wish around this time of year we'd just have a "Lebron Thread" a "Melo Thread" and a "Love Thread"
This bored has reached r****ded status. ANyone who starts a thread based on a Chris Broussard article should be banned for life with no warnings. 1. Melo/Howard/Lebron is just another version of Wade/Lebron/Bosh. All 3 are ageing and have a short window to win with a coach Lebron has to become familiar with. It means no sense to group those 3 and leave Miami, Lebron may as well stay in Miami. 2. James Harden means Lebron can share the load, he can rest and extend his career with a chance to win in the long term. 3. Harden and Melo are the same player...EXCEPT. One guy cannot create for others, both guys like to score, but that leaves only one who is happy to be a distributor and has a history of sacrificing his game for a big 3 to be successful. 4. It is more difficult to bring 3 new peices together than it is to incorporate one big star with a duo who have played 88 games together and develop chemistry. 5. Chris Broussard is a ****ing idiot who was still doubling down on Howard to LA even after it was anounced he was coming to Houston. The guy talks out of his ass to get ESPN fans all giddy because they don't have the basketball IQ to see past his ****. Good day.
Me too, you can even put in Troy daniels at 2 and you can have a winner there... Harden is the best 2 in the game but his flaws in defense is very very hard to hide... and then having lebron in houston, harden's skills will be very redundant... we all know lebron will be holding the ball primarily... harden will fall in to a spot up shooting guard... he wont be much more than an overpaid troy daniels... melo on the other hand had already showed they he can play defense when he wants too... he is a great spot up shooter, post up player, basically he can shoot from anywhere on the floor. his clutchness is unquestionable... he can play both 3 and 4... would rather have melo, lebron, howard...
