LeBron already opted out. Wade and Bosh will have to opt out and take a lot less money for LeBrons wish of them having enough to build a good team around them. I just don't see it happening. Houston has a younger, better (at this point) SG and a better C. Plus better rotation players (Parsons, Beverley, Jones) and the MLE/BAE. And any vets who will take minimum level deals at a shot at a title
Doubt anyone agrees to anything before the big fish (LeBron) makes his decision. That's generally how things work.
Everyone keeps leaving out the fact that LBJ absolutely loves it in Miami he loves the city and he loves Spo and Riley. Sorry I still just don't see LeBron leaving a team so soon again. He knows the heat he would take for that as well. I think it's 70/30 he stays
Agreed, and I don't think the odds are even that good. Under the premise that LeBron is willing to leave though, I like our chances.
LeBron will and does get heat no matter what. Stays in Miami, loses, gets heat Leaves Miami, heads elsewhere, gets heat Wins, get heat Loses, get heat Cramps out of a game, gets heat Does anything, he gets heat. The life of LeBron.
He only spends the off season in Ohio if I'm not mistaken. And if I recall correctly one of the reason he chose Miami in the first place was because of the city. He can still win in Miami. Riley isn't going to not produce a good team for him. Any team with LBJ on the East is the best team in the East and LeBron himself knows this.
Depends how much Rockets save with Lin and Asik deals. I think they still stay under the Luxury Tax. Plus LeBron would be willing to take less money too play with a 10-12 deep roster.
Winning the East isn't the goal though. Even if the Heat remain together, they have little to no shot of beating whoever comes out of the West and honestly with Wade being a shell of his former self and Bosh being less and less valuable every year, they might not even make it out of the East. The only way they can improve that team is if they take massive pay cuts and I highly doubt guys like Bosh and Wade who are at the end of their careers are going to be open to throwing away 40+mil over the next 2 seasons. I think Bosh and Wade opt in and Lebron bails.
I'm not sure you understand. You do not get a salary cap exception the same year you can sign someone with cap room. Hence the exception.
Tonight, LeBron posted two new pics, PRO-AKRON. Dude's going back to Ohio. If not, he's effing with them TWICE as hard as he did in 2010. Signed, A Rockets fan from Akron.
