Folks shouldn't overestimate our chances. We really don't have enough pieces that Minnesota wants to land Love, Chicago is still the favorite for Melo, and Lebron is a very long shot at best. It wouldn't surprise me if we land one of them, but the odds are that we don't land any of them and end up settling for options 4, 5 or 6.
I still have yet to hear a compelling argument as to why Houston would be a "very long shot" at landing Lebron. I've heard a lot of people say it, but they never really back the claim up.
I think Chandler might have a little something left but Dirk is done. So if they cut Felton then the second year guy that broke his foot is the pg? I honestly don't follow the mavs so my recollection of names is fuzzy
@HPbasketball: The only teams that are reportedly are on both Melo and LeBron's lists are Miami and Houston.
Clutch can we sticky a thread with "Free Agent/Trade updates only"? Shoveling through all this speculation looking for news is getting tiring.
Edit: tdc beat me <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>The only teams that are reportedly are on both Melo and LeBron's lists are Miami and Houston.</p>— Hardwood Paroxysm (@HPbasketball) <a href="https://twitter.com/HPbasketball/statuses/481924940791566337">June 25, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Don't look into that tweet. He merely matched up the reported teams that both players have interest in and saw Houston was the only team that was on both player's lists. We already knew this. LeBron: Miami Cleveland Houston Clippers Carmelo: New York Miami Dallas Chicago Houston Nothing substantial.
I'm guessing he's talking about Chris Broussard, who reported on both? LeBron's so-called list?*: Miami, Cleveland, Houston, New York, Brooklyn Carmelo's so-called list?*: Dallas, Chicago, Houston *LeBron: From Broussard's 'Insider' article *Carmelo: Teams he's set to meet with
Dirk is not done. He had a very good season last year. Hes just more on the Tim Duncan limited minutes plan where his overall numbers arent as high
Its not boring, its just the Garbage posts elongating the thread. Things like "its happening" and posting starting 5 lineups howard jones james harden beverly
I think the best way to get LBJ may be to lock up Melo first and then tell LBJ you will find a way to fit him in if he is interested, i.e., sign and trade for Harden. This also gives the added benefit of locking up one of the two at the least. If you wait for LBJ to make a decision you do run the risk of losing out on Melo. I'm not sure who fits better with LBJ's game, Melo or Harden. If all else is equal I'd prefer to keep Harden. A lot to consider here really.
I said that in my post. I said I don't follow the mavs. Did you read my post? It's in there. I didn't think I would ever get flack for not knowing Dallas maverick stats in a ROCKETS FAN FORUM. My bad, next time I'll use big print so you can read all my words
You can't say that, because this year's finals was a repeat of last year's as far as teams (by using your standards). It can go both ways.
Wait...where are the Lakers? I thought espn said just yesterday that Lebron and Melo were heading out to join Kobe...this would mean neither have any interest in hearing their pitch? Looks like it's back to Nash and Kobe vs the West.
