I think people are giving Harden too much credit thinking that he won't pout if Lebron is brought in to steal all the glory, and he's relegated to option #2/2A. This is a guy who just began to taste what it's like to be in the limelight, and he is not at the point where he's willing to sacrifice for winning. Anybody who watched the way he'd pout and stop trying anytime the offense was run exclusively through Howard can see this. Now imagine what happens if you bring Lebron in..
That is way too high. It is under 50% that the Rockets end up with one of those three. I would give the Rockets about a 25% chance honestly. I do not believe LeBron is leaving the Heat. I am not even sure that the Rockets have the assets to get Love (assuming he wants to be here). That leaves Anthony, and he is a heavy favorite to sign with Chicago or return to NY.
To add, I think Morey may be cognizant of this fact, and that may be another driving force behind swapping him for Melo. The fact that those two REALLY want to play together doesn't hurt either...
I'd take Harden over Melo considering Harden is younger, a better passer/team player, has more potential, and a better 3 point shooter. If it took trading Harden for Melo to get Lebron I'd do it, but I'd hope Lebron prioritizes winning more than playing with his friends. Not to mention ultimately it would come down to Harden AND Parsons over Melo which is a no contest. Even Harden vs Melo is in Harden's favor because of age.
Melo actually shot better from 3 than Harden last year, but I agree Harden is the better player. More efficient, draws tons of fouls, and scores just as well as Melo.
That was one of the most stacked teams in the NBA and is that really all that impressive? The East was still weak back then and in their same division Kevin Willis lead the Hawks to a 57 win season with nothing more than a half a season from a hobbled Dominique Wilkins. In fact, name me another player from that Hawks roster off the top of your head if you can. Also it's funny everyone talks about that 94 bulls team when they want to justify Pippen, but ignore the 95 team that was 34-31 when Jordan came back.
Who's better, Harden or Melo? This is an irrelevant question. The only thing that matters is who LBJ wants to play with.
How can anybody be certain that the Rockets are getting *any* particular player at this point? There are so many competing interests, moving parts and scenarios playing out in the next few weeks. Wade's decision to opt in, or out is next big domino to fall, but there are still a whole host of factors that will impact who ends up on the Rockets. They are still dependent on what happens with other teams.

Stop listening to espn. Its the other way around. LeBron wants to win more rings, Melo wants to ride LeBron's coattails to a championship. I keep asking you guy, what purpose does Meloserve when there is a yyounger more well rounded, easier to teach albeit shorter version of him already on the roster? James, Howard & Harden are a big three, a real one
have you guys wondered how awkward a conversation it's going to be when lebron wade bosh get together... lebron: "can you guys opt out and sign for less because you're not good enough to be making your current salaries and we need to bring more talent on board....no? ok see you later then"
Tyson Chandler is back in Dallas. That team is getting ready for something big Calderon Fudge ??? Dirk Chandler
