As long as LBJ is a guarantee, then I'm all for this deal. It sounds too good to be true, and usually when that's the case, it is.
I'm not a fan? LoL. I was born on June 3, 1986. You wanna know where I was on June 5, 1986? The Summit, two days old watching the Rockets beat the Celtics. So yeah this **** is in my blood. I've seen this happen before. It won't work, the egos are too big. We've still never had a point guard as talented as Sam Cassel and Robert Horry has more rings than Jordan, Harden is better than both. I want LeBron on this team but not if Carmelo is here too and trading Harden for Melo is the dumbest thing I've ever heard, harden is better. You foolish child, you question my fandom because I'm a historian of the game? Don't fool yourself into thinking you know more than me
Seriously I love Harden and it'd be a shame to send him to the dumpster fire that is the Knicks, but in my mind loyalty goes straight out the window when: A) Said player starts sucking. B) A better player can be had as a direct or indirect result of the trade.
Seriously, how old are you? A player starts sucking? You think James Harden sucks? And you think 62pts and 0 ast is better? You're too easily influenced. I blame espn for ppl like you
LeBron - Wade - Bosh. People said it would never work. People said egos were too big. People said they would have to play with three basketballs. 4 finals appearances. 2 championships. "It will never work." It just did. Honestly I don't care if we end up with Harden-LeBron-Howard or Melo-LeBron-Howard. As long as we have a superstar big three I couldn't care less. I'm sick of the idiots running around that want a moral victory on top of the finals victory. "I want to win with no stars!" People like that should go ahead and watch NCAA basketball and Euroleague. I likewise wouldn't care if we colluded and every star took vet min to come here and everybody hated us. Scoreboard.
Bosh ain't **** and Wade has publicly came out and said he has deferred the team to LeBron. It wasn't a big three in Miami. LeBron played Jordan, Wade was Pippen and Bosh is Luc Longly. Don't just watch the highlights and let Stuart Scott tell you what happened, watch the games and see for yourself. It worked in Miami for three seasons and then the salary cap caught up to them
It is odd seeing Rockets fans talk about getting star FA's being a bad thing considering that's kind of how the Rockets won their second championship and how they tried to win their third.
Yeah so how'd that work out with Pippen again? Free agents are good, LeBron is the best player in the world, why would we need Anthony if we can get LeBron
This is all just speculation at this point, guys. Not worth getting your blood pressure up. Not yet! ;-)-
I moved Houston on June 2, 1986 as recent college grad from Jstate. I lived through the horrible PG play of Alan Levell (sp chk). I watched Ralph punk out, Joe Barely Cares, Sleep Floyd, etc... I watched Hakeem have to play the Sonics 1 on 5 because Gary Payton and Sean Kemp dominated our PG and PF. Then a beautiful thing transpired, the Rockets became a team with Dream, Thorpe, Horry, Max, Kenny, Cassell, which kinda reminds me of the Spurs this year. So, while I understand the Big 3 philosophy, I believe a good 1 - 10 will beat a good 1 - 6 any time of the year. A team of pilgrims will always beat a team of athletes that jump over the moon. I take bball IQ all day. And the only person with Bball IQ is Lebron, not Dwight, definitely not Harden, and Melo is suspect!!
So you are saying we should take this seriously, cyberx? Oh my goodness! Sure, the stars would have to literally line up, but still!
