I love how there was all this talk in the national media about how the Rockets couldn't possible trade away Asik and Lin but some how every team that's in La, New York or Chicago could easily trade away 30 40 million in salary.
I love how LoF's pretend that we were holding back Lowry and Dragic and that they suddenly blossomed because they left Houston. Such dumbasses...
Zactly. Clips have to move over $40 million of salary to sign Lebron and some in the media think that's a possibility but they can't see us clearing $30 million in expirings.

LMFAO Riiight, so the Rockets are going to deal Parsons to the Warriors, a chief rival. I can see the phone call now: Bob Myers: "Hey Daryl, we can take Parsons to help you move Lin." Daryl Morey: "Go fukk yourself."
Same difference as doing a S&T for Melo that includes Parsons + Lin + Asik. It all comes down to HOW we get Melo, whether it's through FA or S&T. If it's through FA or S&T, we need to lose Asik + Lin. The only real question is whether Parsons is a part of that process vs just losing TJones and other filler.
What are the chances that Morey has a trade teed up for the 76ers to off load Lin? And a trade for Boston with their TPE+future pick for Asik? I bet Morey has those in his pocket. Screw you GSW!
As you just saw in the other thread, Windhorst did mention Hinkie would take on Lin in a heartbeat for at least 1st round pick (and maybe two second rounders OR Motiejunas).
Lin would be huge in the Bay Area, in my opinion. He'd sell a lot of season tickets. Perhaps the Warriors would be lucky and Jeremy plays to his potential. But getting Chandler in the deal? I don't see that at all.
Golden State gets Parsons, and then trades for Klove. Yes, lets help someone that is a direct competitor for accomplishing our goals get even better.
Must be why Morey isn't worried about it. If we're getting Lebron or Melo, then we have to unload Lin, one of DMo or TJones, and the draft pick anyway.
It's like Hinkie is buying picks, with the benefit of getting a good rotation player. We get the cap room. Just so long as the 1st is protected, you do what you have to do in order to do what you want to do. ;-)-
Something needs to happen with these guys. I would assume they are gone before July 1st. Maybe tomorrow.
