Welp. All the Mavs need now is a trade for Jose Barrea and the Jet for cheap and you will have an older version of the Mavs championship squad. Nice.

    Trash for trash..

Albeit Tyson would probably do pretty decent in Dallas again. Better than dalembert that's for sure.

Setting up nicely for Asik to NYK as part of a S&T for Melo

Is this a move for the Knicks to get out of cap hell, or do they have something bigger in mind??

Chandler is breaking down while Felton is straight trash.

    This is a lateral move.

    Calderon/Prigioni
    Smith/Hardaway
    /Shumpert
    Amare/Bargnani
    Dalambert/

    No draft picks

I have a hard time seeing Melo signing back with that, guess it's just the Bulls and us now.

None. Saves them about $6-8M in salary this year (depending on whether they waive Dalembert's partially guaranteed contract), but the team is far enough above the cap that even if Melo leaves, they still won't have "cap room."

And in 2015-16, Calderon and Larkin together make $9M while Felton is owed $3.8M.

Trade doesn't work. There must be other pieces.

What a horrible Knicks roster... Lin/Asik could easily start for them...

Believe me I agree it's lateral. But it opens up a SnT for melo to Houston.

So now the Mavericks need a PG and the Knicks need a C instead of the other way around. I think this partially hurts the Rockets ability to dump Lin/Asik since the Knicks were probably dumb enough to take Lin for nothing.

Calderon has a 4 years 30 million left on his deal?

I thought the Knicks were pretty clear on getting no salaries past 2015?

They must have another trade for him in there plans.
