Crazy how fast a fan base has turned on a player especially one who's made us relevant again..

Only way I'd trade Harden is for LBJ or KD. He's what 25? He's got so much time left.

Heh, you just suggested that Jabari Parker was better than the best SG in the NBA right now and you are asking someone else what is wrong with them?

To me, it seems that HOU should get a ton more assets from NYK than just Melo for Harden. Harden is far younger and signed to a 4 yr deal while Melo is older and heading out the door.

Lebron and Melo should want it also because they'd want and likely need as good a supporting cast as the team can put around them and Dwight. But NYK have few good pieces to trade-- maybe Tim Hardaway Jr, Iman Shumpert? I don't even think all their combined assets are enough to make up the difference.

umm, on defense, it's a wash, parker needs to work on his D, harden, 5 years in the league and absolutely horrific on defense, I can't believe how many times the other team's scrub iso's hardens and scores on him

offense, jabari parker 6'8 240lbs scoring machine, easily the best scorer in the world not currently in the NBA...can drive to either hand with ease and finish with either hand...devasting low post game, lightening quick first step, great form and accuracy on jump shot from mid range and 3...nice handle for size...fundamentally sound in every way

offense, harden, strong first step going left, can only finish left, right hand is very weak, great step back jumper going to his right (because he doesn't have enough strength to go all the way to the hoop), good shooter, 3 ball is better than midrange, no post game...never had the work ethic to smooth out fundamental kinks

conclusion: parker easily more better and more versatile

    enlightened?

best shooting guard in the league? I guess by default since kobe and wade both have significant injury issues...but place whatever empty titles you want on harden, first team all nba, best shooting guard in nba blah blah, I'll see you back on CF next year when he bombs out of the playoffs again

So let's get this straight, you rail on Harden because his shooting went cold in the playoffs this year only averaging 26.8 points per game, but prop up Jabari who scored 14 points on 14 shots as Duke lost to a 14 seed in the first round of the NCAA tourney this year? As long as you are consistent.....

jabari had 1 bad game in a knockout tournament, yes he was terrible, as was wiggins...harden has a history of bad games when the pressue is high, horrible game in NCAA tourney when he was ASU, benched because of horrible d and bad shooting in 2012 olympics, horrible 2012 nba finals, horrible 2013 playoffs, horrible 2014 playoffs

Instead of making excuses, you could just admit that you were obviously wrong and just being a hater for the sake of being a hater. Jabari got crushed by Mercer......is there any sane person who thinks that James Harden wouldn't crush the Mercer D? Of course not, then again, you wouldn't find any serious person saying that Jabari is a better player than Harden either.

I went through the trouble of pulling up some facts for you and you can't even appreciate it...I stand by Parker > Harden, you'll see that when Parker lights it up for his new team this season....any sane person who has advanced knowledge of basketball knows Harden has fundamental skill issues, stamina issues, and that he cleans up against crappy teams, harden is a good player, an allstar calibre player, but hardly an elite player in the same class as lebron durant cp3 westbrook etc

It is sickening that CFs turns on our best player. I wish we can go back to the Lowry Martin Scola and Chuck days and finishing with the 9th seed every year. Dude is only 24.

Tip jar bet that Harden will have a better offensive season than parker next season? Shouldn't be any trouble since Parker is the best offensive player in the world not in the nba and is better than harden.

Even if we were to entertain this Melo/Lebron scenario, Morey would simply dump Harden on Philly for cap space and take their bazillion picks, opening up the opportunity to sign both with cap space.

    This past year:

    GSW: 33 ppg, 50% shooting, 37% 3
    Miami: 25.5 ppg, 52% shooting, 35% 3
    San Antonio: 25 ppg, 49% shooting, 50% 3

He struggled against some good teams and cleaned up against some other good teams.

How can you make that asinine assumption that Jabari Parker is better or will ever be better than James Harden? Parker has never even played in the NBA. We don't even know if he will be a bust or an all-star yet at this point. I get you might be frustrated with Harden's flaws but every player has them. Harden is proven to be the best SG in the whole entire NBA, is a 2 time allstar, 2013 All NBA First Team, 24 years of age, and has the clutch gene. Jabari Parker just finished his freshmen year at Duke. I don't get it.
