I don't think that's fair. Love is a great player well worth the max contract (which isn't that much money - it's not like only the top 10 players in the league deserve a max contract...) - his problem is: he shouldn't be the first option. He can't create his own shots - he is great when his teammates find him.

He would look great next to Harden, because he would get lots of good looks and know what to do with it. He would look great next to Dwight because he would get lots of space and have a great target, when he gets double teamed. On offense you might argue, there is no better fit (LeBron always is a better fit - vintage Bosh might have a say in it as well). On defense he rebounds, which is something we really need. And he is a big body.

The problem with Love is, that we'd need to convince Minny to do a deal - and we don't have the pieces they want (Parsons maybe, if we were willing to trade him). If Love was a FA, Morey would be all over him...

I would be very happy to get Lowry. He would be cheaper than the other stars, allowing us to add some quality depth to the bench. Keep Parsons, keep TJones, add Lowry, add quality players to the bench. Sounds good to me.

I would imagine he would have a very comfortable, at home feeling if he came back. It would be fun to watch him with this squad but I am torn because I really love Beverley and think he has earned his starting role. It wouldnt be right to strip him of that.

Most players in the league don't like Kobe I know that but one stars get close to 30 it is more about winning then anything.

Lowry would be a great get. Upgrades the talent at PG. More importantly, upgrades the competitive fire with an established player. It gives us the option of a closing smallball lineup that features Bev/Lowry/Harden/Parsons/Howard.

I've beleived all along that Parsons has waned on defense b/c he needed to focus on getting his offensive numbers up. After he gets paid, he'll go back to defense, and that smallball lineup would feature four good defenders, and particularly important, two strong defenders at both guard positions.

Harden wasn't top 10 in salary (not close.) Not sure where to find the NBA WAR stat, but obviously he wasn't top 10 in that either.

I wonder if Harden had stole Carl Herrera's GF or killed his dog for him to act like such a twat all the time about him...

I'd be happy with Lowry back in the fold, for the right price. We wouldn't have to worry about our PG rotation anymore if it were him and Bev. If he comes back for $8-9M it would allow us to spend on a starting PF as well. Hopefully, it doesn't come to our 4th option, but it could be worse.

Couldn't we trade Asik and Lin for h8m as well as a few fillers. That's why he could be on that list. WOJ stated the Rockets plan on going after Love. If we go to the Western Conference or Finals , Love might stay put and sign with the Rockets for another 4 years.

It was actually both Aleron. Pau wasn't the only one upset with D12 andhis refusal to run pick and roll & some times he didn't put forth a lot of effort on defense.

Agreed Paul can only play center now.

Pau had a problem with Dwights basketball IQ more than anything.

It wasn't as much about him as a person, but Pau was always frustrated with Dwight on the court.

    He just couldn't get it.

That isn't a top 10 list, it's a sampling. Did you not notice Kobe and Stoudemire on there?

This particular calculation is based off of WAR (wins above replacement).
    http://regressing.deadspin.com/how-much-is-lebron-really-worth-1595374835

The net result is that they are using a multiple of somewhere around $2.23M per each point of the players WAR.

Harden has a higher WAR than Anthony so based on the formula his Projected salary would be $21.6M. If he were included in the sample he'd sit right between Howard and Bosh.

    http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/rpm

BTW according to this calculation Andre Iguodala would be the 11th highest projected salary, Channing Frye #14, Rubio #15 , Gortat #16 and Dwight Howard #19.

Is Pau expecting the Rockets to:

-Start with the Princeton offense with a subpar offensive coach for the first five games of the season
-and then fire that coach, promote a veteran assistant for a few weeks who runs a more traditional NBA offense
-and then hire a coach who runs an offense that is designed for uptempo, 10 second run & gun offensive sets(who puts a hall of famed like Pau Gasol on the bench have you)
-and then for the last week of the season (when their only good perimeter scorer goes down with an injury) decides to scrap the run & gun offense to go twin towers again with high/low corner offense sets?

Look... I don't doubt that Pau doesn't want to revisit the Dwight/Twin Towers conundrum, but placing blame on Dwight's low BBIQ for it not working out is a freaking joke.

Do you personally believe he has a high basketball IQ?

    Compare Dwight to Pau?
