Not exactly, but I think he really, really wants to make it work if possible. Even if the Heat situation seems like an 8 compared to a 9 or 10 elsewhere I think he takes his chances and stays put. The Heat probably won't make one blockbuster move. But if they can make a handful of decent moves that clearly makes the team better (albeit marginally) than last year it might be enough to convince him.

2nd to Chicago, yes. I don't think he put any "favorites"(other than Miami) on LeBron. Said the Lakers aren't in play unless they bring in another player(and doesn't think the whole Kobe-LeBron thing would work well). Said Cleveland, if they could flip the number one pick for a star veteran, maybe? Said Houston wants to have a chance to sell him. Said the Clippers are most intriguing to him.
Woj isn't really good when he's speculating (he did say the Magic would trade Dwight to Houston afterall) but I agree with him here. Lebron wants to stay in Miami ideally. If he can get things done the way he wants, he will stay there.
Given that there is one Melo and one Lebron, being 2nd favorite doesn't amount to a whole lot more than being used as leverage like Morey usually is.

Well they did make it to the Finals, so they are a piece or two away. Its not like they got swept in the First Round or missed the playoffs. Miami is easily the front runner. I don't think he wants to catch backlash for jumping ship AGAIN unless they can't help him out in MIA. Miami will do whatever they can to keep him there. This will not be easy.
"Pressure" can't do anything about the assets that Miami doesn't have. The only, and I mean only "assets" Miami has are: 1) The ability for LeBron, Wade, and Bosh to all take paycuts. 2) Norris Cole under contract. 3) Justin Hamilton non-guaranteed 4) #26 pick 5) #55 pick 6) Future picks (though I'm not sure several of these havent already been traded away). From LeBron's end, it feels more like an "out" to me. "Well, Wade wouldn't opt out and you couldn't get Napier, so I'm leaving. See ya."
Their current thinking doesn't necessarily mean that's the outcome. When it comes to making decisions, they're coming into the process with a set of experiences or biases that influence the decision that they think they want to make. The analogy is buying a car. Melo decides he wants a new whip. At this point in time he thinks he really wants to buy a BMW. But he's still planning on going to dealerships and doing a test drives. Although he thought he was going to buy a BMW, the test drive might not have lived up to his expectations. Or the Benz was better than he thought and they had a great offer. The good news is, these guys are going to go through the process, they are going to consider their options and we have a very good argument to make.
You can take the Clippers off of the board. They're not getting Lebron unless they unload CP3 or Griffin. If the Clipps unload CP3 or Griffin, will Lebron still want to play there?
