First of all, we've got the 9th seed 3 years in a row, not 4. In the first year it got apparent that T-Mac is done - he didn't do too bad in a trade here. Yao got injured. So when 2 of your stars break down, you will have a problem to make the playoffs.

The year after that Yao played 5 games - and got injured. The whole team was build around Yao. Hard to make the playoffs when your cornerstone is injured - yet we almost managed to do that.

The year after that Yao retired. So all of a sudden we had a team that was meant to be a nice supplemental team to Yao without the star to really make it work.

So, you can fault Morey to try to build around Yao for too long - though I think most GMs would've done the same. Other than that, those sucky years were all because of injuries (and the last one because Morey weren't allowed to tank). I know the results were horrible and those seasons were hard to swallow, but if you want to blame Morey, try to blame moves he made or didn't make.

No need to compare him to the sucky teams - try to compare him to the GMs of the best teams. I doubt many came close to do what he did in the last 2 years.

He took what fell into his lap? What fell into his lap? He traded for Lowry (a move many questioned), he then traded Lowry for a guaranteed lottery pick. He drafted Buddinger, then traded him to get a better draft position. He traded a broken down T-Mac for Martin. He was very busy collecting assets that other teams might want. He was ridiculed for it, he was critiziced for it, but when Harden got on the market, he was prepared to present the best offer: 1 guaranteed lottery pick, another lottery pick and young talent in Lamb and a direct replacement for Harden in Martin. No other team could match that.

Good points. I'd also add that he was a bit strapped for cap space due to T-mac and Yao's contracts even after they were gone/injured. And if I recall correctly he inherited those deals so he was working with what he had.

Granted he's made some questionable moves, and I've never been a huge McHale fan. But from a roster perspective Morey's done an amazing job. Yes, we were fighting our tails off for a playoff berth two years ago. Some would say we were overachieving with that team. This past year we were expected to at least advance. It was underachieving, but the fact that our expectations are higher and our overall performance has been better should be noted.

I for one am excited about the possibilities and the future. The people that never have anything good to say can go pound sand.

Morey has done great to put together a championship caliber roster in such a short period of time.

However, all of it falls right in his face if the Rockets don't have post season success.

The biggest question mark over Morey is his persistence with a clueless, incompetent bottom 3 NBA head coach in McHale. A championship roster deserves a better coach.

Are you daft? Go dunk your head in that river you are down by until your head gets cleared.

    1. This team was 9th seed for a few years straight because Les refused to allow Morey to tank.

    2. No other team has ever rebuilt the team to our current level without ever tanking or having a top 10 draft pick. Morey did this.

    3. What fell in his lap you freaking moron? 2 broken down superstars that took up over HALF our cap? A bunch of freaking useless garbage that served as our so called role players? How about you get your head out of your ass and open your eyes? What fell in Morey's lap was a situation of him being behind the 8 ball with a restrictive owner and a bunch of garbage we didn't think anyone would want that he parlayed into a team that's almost good enough to compete at the highest level.

STFU about things you have no idea of. Everything you said, opinions be damned, is dumb to the nth degree.
