More like, LeBron, we can match this offer that Parsons just got. Do we do it or not?

If it's all about coaches, McHale drafted Kevin Love.

What more can he want? Definitely better than what he signed up for with MIA.

No but you have Lowry who won't come here because of McHale.

Sources are saying that there's more than an 80% chance that LeBron will make Houston his new home...

Mr Daryl Morey told me coaching means nothing.
I doubt Melo wants Chi because of injured Rose or Overrated 100% effort Noah.
I doubt LBJ would want LAC because of CP3 only (would probably have to trade Griffin).

Don´t give a crap if players like to play for a coach that let´s guys coast on D, that is why they love him. It didn´t matter how great offensively SAS was, they still needed to play great defense on LBJ to win it, that is just how it works.

Having said that there is a chance on the LBJ front, we will have to worry about coach next time.

But but McHale is a players coach. Lol the only leverage Chicago has is Thibs and we all know it. Lol at Simmons pitching that supposedly good Chicago line up. We have 1 superstar and a lazy one and we have a sorry coach. Morey needs to think outside the box and get off his high horse for Lebron. You can pick melo or Harden and any coach of your choice. Nothing trumps that only thing is Morey doesn't have people skills

    Probably are. ;)

    Both sides are overstated IMO.

No, I don't think they have deals lined up. On the flip side, I don't think they're so immovable as the national media(especially Chris Mannix) would lead you to believe.

I was told this could work mathmatically from multiple sources
so look for the following to happen Houston (you heard it here first):

Rockets trade Parsons (resigned to 4 yrs $44 to 48 mil), TJones, Bev, Casspi (then released) and Powell (then released) to Minny for K.Love

    then...

Rockets trade Asik, Lin, DMo and #25 pick plus cash to Miami for LeBron James (throw in another pick if necessary)

    Rockets 2014/15 NBA Championship Roster:

    MLE/Canaan/(Possibly A.Brooks and/or Patty Mills type, etc.)
    Harden/Daniels
    LeBron/vet minimum/(maybe Garcia back also)
    K.Love/Covington
    D.Howard/Vet Minimum

Vets line up and our second round pick(s) fill out the roster this year and more added next year.

    Flame away   :p

Trades work. Neither Minnesota or Miami would even remotely consider it.

Based on what assessment do you consider neither team would accept it?

    Minny:

They get Bev (hustle, D, great contract) as a backup to Rubio...can't lose there.
They get Parsons signed for 4 years as a future potential All-Star upgrade over Budinger whom they have to back him up.
They get TJones who is still improving and still on a great contract. Maybe they then clear enough space to get Pau Gasol, which makes TJones an EXCELLENT backup.

That's 3 starters from the #4 seed, a 54 win team in the western conference. They didn't even make the playoffs last year, and they are losing Love eventually regardless. I don't think Klay Thompson beats that deal, but maybe I'm a homer.

    Miami:

If Lebron says trade me to Houston only, or I'm walking to sign outright with Chicago or go back to Cleveland, Miami would be foolish to not trade for Asik (a top center in the league that is also expiring), Lin (better than any PG they have and also expiring), DMo (a 7' prospect that's still growing and on a great contract) and the #25 pick which helps get them some youth that they desperately need no matter what. We also throw in cash to help cover some of the balloon payments to Asik/Lin..and if need be another future 1st or 2 second rounders.

Sure, they could let LeBron walk and face him in the East on Chicago or Cleveland, but sending him to the Rockets puts him in the West and still gives them a competitive team next year along with great options for 2015.

So tell me in your opinion why neither team would do the trades? If it's what Love and Lebron both want, even what other teams offer probably won't matter or be as much because Love won't commit to sign there and Lebron chooses where he is going.
