And I bet Sterling takes his sweet time and tries to sabotage them getting Lebron just to stick it to them. +1 for Sterling!
Only thing I heard last 30 min. on ESPN was one of " reporters " say that LBJ doesn't have a personal relationship with Howard or Harden. Whatever with P.J. and Mr. "I GOT SOURCES" with their nonsense fantasizing over Chicago and LA crap pisses me off.
Can you imagine the furor if Wade or Bosh opted out of Miami.... ...and one or neither got an offer from the Heat? Social Media Blowup would be off the Richter scale.
I saw that too. I LOL'd. Does the 2012 Olympic team strike a bell with you ya fookin idjit? (reporter)
LeBron is NOT taking a paycut unless EVERYONE ELSE on the team he goes to take a paycut. This I will declare as a matter of fact even though I have no sources. I can't imagine LeBron taking $13mil when he's joining a team where the other stars make $17mil and $20mil respectively. Which is the type of paycut he'll have to make unless they gut that team down to nothing. I can almost believe that he'll take less in Miami with Melo/Bosh/Wade because they'll all be making the same. But no way with the Clippers.
The is a big city with no hype. It is what it is and if you true you don't need hype. Just play ball and win F the media.
How do they talk about lebron on sports center for 10 minutes and never mention houston, while they talk clippers Chicago Cleveland. Maybe this isn't tat bad but then they go on to talk about him playing on a team with young draft picks, as if he wants to waste his prime building a team of young talent. Heads in assholes.
I don't know what the lingo means these days, but Lebron called Harden his little bro or something like that.
There was also that tweet Lebron sent out when Harden came to the Rockets. Don't remember the exact language but it seemed endearing.
Well media matters to athletes who want to sell their brand. But yeah, I agree with you. It's kind of silly for fans to say "F the media" when they are obsessed with the media's "disrespect" of Houston. Just learn to laugh about it and move on.
Or with the Lakers, where he would watch an old, past-his-prime Kobe bringing in 25 million. In Houston, Dwight is making around 20, but that would be around what Lebron would be making as well.
It really does seem to be an ESPN thing though. Wojo included the Rockets in his report. Zach Lowe had the Rockets 2nd on the list of destinations(behind Chicago) in his LeBron write-up. ESPN though, is pretty fixated on their own cities(LA/NY/Boston/Dallas/Chicago). Along with Miami of course but that's just covering their bases. I agree that Houston isn't and probably will never reach the top level of media market. But ESPN clearly has biases even beyond that.
Many years ago people shouted "Remember the Alamo!". People still say it today. It was a victory cry that eventually made Texas the great nation that it is today. Well, it was a valiant effort much like the Spurs of 2014. Spurs fans will have to say "Remember 2014" because it will be their last effort, just like the Alamo was for Davy Crocket. San Antonio is a losing battle ground and that's why I'm following a winner. I'm following General Sam Houston and I'm bringing my talents to San Jacinto. I'm a Houston Rocket. **Houston erupts** All of us are happy until we find out LeBron fans are more annoying than Jeremy Lin fans.
