who cares about 2nd, 3rd, or 4th option
we should go all out for the 1st option
it's either we get lebron or we keep the same team and try to trade for love before the trade deadline
i don't see love getting traded before 2015

How many teams get the home team pumped with a defensive player? Don't trade the heart and soul for a minor offensive upgrade.

I actually prefer Lowry moreso than any other FA.

We needed stronger PG play and Lowry is the 2 way backcourt mate Harden needs.

We need a guy that is going to make other PG's work on defense. The Lillards of the world will be slowed down moreso with this strategy other than trying to stop him on defense bc that never works with really good players.

I hope Lowry is the player we come away with and retain Parsons.

Lowry/Melo/Lebron. In that order for me.

Bingo. Getting through the West requires getting through Parker, CP3, Westbrook, Lillard. A PG that can make them work on the defensive end will help tremendously.

There was a reason why he put the "very unlikely" qualifier.

A high % of Lowry's shots are already 3PAs. Since 2010 44% of his FGA were 3PA. This past season it was up to 46%. As a comparison 45% of Curry's FGA were 3PA and 43% of Thompson's FGA were 3PA.

I understand that. i was simply opposing the point that Lowry would be a typical 3D guy say like Bev where he just brings the ball up, passes it off to Harden and runs to the corner.

Lowry has much more to offer than that.

Well yeah you don't pay $10+ mil for a 3D guy, but with Harden he'll be a spot up 3P shooter more often then you'd want. I've always been against bringing in a PG because the one thing that makes Harden elite is having the ball in his hand.

Thanks for the 'confirmation'. Interesting to hear Lowry is 4th. He'd be great here and seems the most attainable. Reading those comments awhile ago about Lowry regretting his attitude here is suddenly relevant again. As good as Bev is on defense, in the West there's incredible 2 way PGs and Lowry would close the gap tremendously at that spot.

Why would Bosh be an option? He's obviously not the player he was in Toronto and he's already said he plans to stay in Miami because it feels like home. He loves it there and is happy. Why leave? To win his first championship?

    Lowry/Bev
    Harden/Daniels
Parsons/ MLE 3&D Vet (Sefolosha? Marion? Ariza?)
    Illyasova/Jones
    Howard/ Vet Min (Okafor? Camby?)

Can it be done? Can we win with that squad?

the King, Melo, Bosh and Lowry in that order sounds right to me. That would probably be my list too. I'm thinking our odds are pretty good of landing one of them. Any one of them would really improve our team. I actually think there's a fair argument to be made for Lowry having the a bigger impact for us than Melo. I know ...sounds crazy. but there's not many PGs out there that would fill the role we need filled as well as Lowry would.

Bosh would be an absolute beast next to Howard btw.

So out of curiosity, who would y'all start out of Beverly and Lowry? I'd start Beverly. I know Lowry is the overall better player, but I think Beverly compliments the first team better. I've always said, your starting lineup shouldn't be a collection of your best players at each position. It should be the best unit.
