Don't recall, but sounds funny. Sanchez did his version during the butt fumble. Coincidently, with another Jets lineman.

A healthy Arian would be great. Somebody give him a burger.

Not sure how true and accurate, but Foster's brother Abdul did say he has been working out really hard. He might be a bit behind in learning the system (although he is an excellent route runner and can probably pick up the 'run your route, catch the ball' or whatever BOB has him doing) but on the conditioning and strength aspect, it at least appears he is staying in shape. Though I agree with you, he needs to come back, we need some vet leadership buying in to this new system.

Whoa bro, your passive aggressive comments are uncalled for bro. Bro im also detecting a hint of bro sarcasm, was this intended bro? Im all about some Texans talk. But im more of a reader than a poster. But just like today's TV, a little drama increases ratings bro, they need more forum readers, hence the bro drama.

You get use to it bro, I just read on.

    Bro on, Brotha, Bro on.

I'm not an O-line expert either but last season was the first time Brooks got to get consistent playing time because he hardly got to play his rookie year. Also from what I've read about the zone blocking scheme _ that may not be the best system for Brooks because of his size. I think he has the tools and size to excel in a power run scheme.

Brooks may just be the best offensive lineman on this team not named Brown. Rather that's a good or bad thing _ I don't know.

He turned it on at the end of the year, if I read it correctly. This is usually a good sign that young, athletic players will raise his play the next season. We saw a textbook example of that with JJ Watt in the playoffs his rookie year.

I am really high on him, and having a pro-bowl caliber player as the 2nd best on the line is not too bad (and it seems you do not like Myers that much). I think he will really step up his play in a system based on smash-mouth football.

It's not that I don't like Myers, I think he was perfect for the zone blocking scheme that Kubiak ran but when it comes to a smash-mouth power run system _ Myers is undersized compared to the centers that other teams who play that way use.

Im hoping that same thing. I do however think Newton will show us vast improvement from last season.

Im not putting our TE'S in that category yet but they don't need to be ex basketball players to be decent to great TE's. Just catch the ball when your number is called. Block your man in the running game and etc etc.

Im not counting Posey out just saying AJ and Nuk will get the bulk of the passes thrown their way. They will be the #1 & #2 receivers.

Nuk is coming off of a stellar rookie season where he was the second most sure-handed WR in the NFL, the sky is the limit for him.

Brees has Jimmy Graham (and had Gates)... Manning has Julius Thomas... Brady has Gronk... Aaron Rodgers had Finely and Green Bay spent a 3rd round pick in the draft on Richard Rodgers and they say he's looking so good that they may start him. Those are the top 4 quarterbacks in the NFL and all 4 of them have athletic playmakers at the TE position... Take it for what it's worth.

And when I say don't count out Posey _ I mean that to say he could end up being the #2 receiving option behind AJ.

Remii im not saying they will be like those you mentioned nor am I comparing them to those elite gifted TE'S. But from what I heard and read both Griffin , Graham and Fiedorowicz looks pretty good so far. They are really surprised with Fiedorowicz hands because he is mainly a blocking TE. Graham had 49 receptions and 500+yards so you can best believe his numbers eill increase under BOB. His future looks promising. He might not be what you want sir but those numbers were pretty good. Oh he also had 5 TE by the way.

Agreed. I think this is Andre's last year with the team and Nuk takes over after that. It could also mean we draft another WR because other than Nuk and Andre, our WR corps is pretty terrible though we might have a decent slot guy in Mike Thomas and Bonner is still a complete unknown. I think it's fair to say that Martin and Posey are busts though.

I would like to see what Posey will do this season but if he doesn't bring his A game , then yes he is a bust. Agreed on Martin, I thought last season he would come into his own but he didn't.

What do you think about out TE core.

Oh and yes sir this will be Dre Day last season as an Texans.

Myers is elite when getting to the second level, and I am sure that he will still be very effective without the ZBS.

I agree about hopkins, he has the talent to take over, I wouldnt mind pickingup another receiver in FA next yr rather than draft depending on how this season goes we might have a bigger need, (QB, CB, LB)

but i have to agree with Remii and disagree with you on Posey. He suffered an achilles tear his first year and its hard to come back from that.. especially when your 2nd yr as a wide receiver is usually a big jump in the game and their talent (gotten used to speed and defense of NFL) My mom's side of the family are from Ohio so we watched all the ohio state games and I thought he looked really promising lots of speed and pretty good hands. I think he shows that this season especially with andre out at the moment and posey getting extra reps.

as for martin, classic kubiak bust, talked him up so much and hes basically just an average returner at best.. wouldnt be surprised if one of the youngert guys with same speed and better hands takes his spot over.

Personally, I like it. You have Graham who is more of a traditional sized TE who has solid hands and is a solid route runner and you have two big athletic guys in Fiedorowicz and Griffin....honestly it's one of the best and deepest spots on the entire roster.

Lol houstonstime Bobby is a good dude and I have a lot of respect for him and his knowledge of the game. We just didn't't agree with the AJ situation.

We will not agree all the time, just don't get disrespectful when you don't agree. To me that's what makes any forum so much better. Imo:grin:
