It puts pressure on the Heat to make moves and show a willingness to go over the cap and pay the tax....

I don't see James leaving Miami. He isn't going to want to play with 3 teams in the last 5 years.

Yahoo is only legit when it's Woj saying it, ESPN is only legit once something has already happened.

The problem is that they can't make moves AND go over the cap, to make pretty much any move, the Heat would have to have everyone opt out and renounce their bird rights and then sign them back for much smaller deals, they wouldn't be able to go over the cap except for minimum deals.

I don't think you can use Room Mid Level and Bi Annual in the same season. I think one of the rules for Room is giving up the bi annual isn't it? Could be wrong on that.

That would be tough to sort out though. Are they all going to do that?

    That was Woj saying it.

LeBron on the Clippers would be much more dangerous than if he were on the Rockets.

What does LAC have to do to get this done though? They're already stacked with talent. I'm sure both management and LeBron want Blake Griffin to stay.

Who exactly would the Clippers need to trade in order to sign LeBron?

I don't buy that. Chris Paul is a great player. He's a better play than anyone on the Rockets, but he and Lebron don't really compliment each other in my mind. Lebron is complimented best by players who can feed off his playmaking.

Fair enough, then it's legit. I was just saying that there are a lot of non-Woj Yahoo stories that aren't legit.

DeAndre and Dudley (I don't see how a center-less Clippers team is a better option than the Rockets).

Will have to be a sign and trade for DeAndre Jordan and something else. LAC will have to dump way too much salary otherwise to create actual cap room. And I agree having Griffin there is one big reason why Lebron would be interested in the first place.

Might happen. If MIA is facing the choice of Jordan + other stuff or having Lebron walk for nothing, they have to consider it. Lebron most likely can't threaten to walk to LAC realistically but if there is another place with actual or potential cap room that he can use as leverage, then it is a realistic threat.

If LeBron picks the Clippers, it'll get done. Any GM would move mountains to get him. He can go to any team he wants.

Wouldn't it make more sense to bring Parsons off the bench and start Jones at the 4? Our starters would still hypothetically consist of Dwight, Harden, and Lebron and we get a deeper bench with the same players mentioned. For a basketball comparison it would be similar to when Phil Jackson got to LA and made fisher, fox, and Horry role players. All three of those guys were starters on a 60 win team and Phil made them role players without hesitation. Don't see Parsons ego getting in the way either but just my thoughts.

Why would Miami want DeAndre Jordan? Would they not prefer cap space?

I agree. With the exception of like New Jersey or the Knicks, I believe Lebron will play for whatever team he wants to play for next year regardless of what they would have to do in order to make it happen. There is no mountain too big to overcome to get Lebron.

If we can't get Melo or James I'd take Jamal Crawford for 6th man in a heartbeat.
