    I prefer Howard /Melo/ Lebron

    1. because Howard and Lebron can cover Melo's defensive lapses
    2. Melo is actually a better defender than harden
    3. if you have lebron you don't need multiple ball handlers.
    4. Melo is a better scorer than Harden. (post, onball, offball)

Because Parsons would fit in with Dwight, Lebron and Harden better than with Dwight Melo and Lebron.

    But I'll take either.

I would prefer to keep Harden, his youth is a major factor and he has plenty of room to improve still. Melo will be out of his prime in 3-4 years, whereas Harden will continue to be awesome for nearly another 10 years.

Melo is just an older, less efficient, less team friendly, small forward version of Harden. I honestly can't imagine how or why anyone would want Melo over Harden in any lineup.

    It matters what Lebron wants.

Maybe we should discuss Bev vs lin while we are at it, because that hasn't been discussed

I don't really like the idea of Carmelo and LeBron on the same team. I think only way you go this particular route is if you can't get one without the other.

I pretty much agree that Harden > Melo. I do wish Harden would get in better shape and at least try on defense.

I would love bro here teaching harden what it takes to be the best player in the game. Harden has the size athleticism and most importantly the talent to be the closet thing to lebron. With the king himself tutoring a very young harden, the sky would truly be the limit for not only harden but the rockets for the next 10 yrs.

Imagine lebron paving the way for harden to take over in 4 years? After learning from the most well rounded player ever. Another thing to think about is that with the way the rockets have been since harden in terms of acquiring top talent (Howard) and going after more (LBJ, melo) shows harden and the rest of the league that the the rockets Management will spend the money to build a real contender. This should allow free agents to flock here for our 2nd run with harden after this deal.

I don't see harden going anywhere for the rest of his career, why would he want to leave a franchise and city like houston. When In 2 yrs since he got here we've added Dwight and our in play for lebron or melo. Good times rockets fans. Good times.

I prefer to have a team with Dwight, Harden, LeBron, Melo, and Love. Why? Because we already have the protential profile threads for each of three, there is a great chance for us to get all of them.

Purely hypothetical and maybe my math is wrong - What if we knew that Lebron would come to Houston if we had Melo, even if it meant losing Harden?

    Harden, Jones, Donuts, and Casspi
    for
Melo, Hardeway, Jr., and Jeremy Tyler

Then you offer Asik, Lin, Parsons, this year's #1 pick, and a whatever other picks it takes, and cash
    for
Lebron James (signs an extension starting at $19 million a year) and Norris Cole

If Riley doesn't bite, you deal Asik and Lin for that cap space they're supposed to bring us, and do some tinkering to get that $19 million for James.

Totally crazy? I'm assuming that if you can get the best player in the league, you will pillage and burn your team to do it.

If neither LeBron or Carmelo sign, we lose a ton of reputation.
