Oh, that was what we were going for? Spurs already have that title. I think we have to aim lower. Maybe Patriots north, because we'll likely be drafting way up north the draft board.
8/12 of Fitzpatrick's interceptions last year came on first down. 10 of those interceptions came when his team was trailing. If we can get a reliable running game going, I think he can give us a chance.
Im predicting he throws atleast 30 interceptions next season. The dude sucks. Why in the world did we sign him?? Well the bright side is that if we suck again, we can get a high draft pick next year.
Honestly I think BOB will try to hide him as much as possible within our offensive system. He will play very similarly (style-wise) to Alex Smith. Short/intermediate passes, very few deep balls. Lots of short routs/screens. That along with a good running game (if Foster can stay healthy) + a good defense and we can win 8 games and prob miss the playoffs. I think he throws between 15-20 INT if he starts the whole season (which I doubt will happen). We will see though; I'm pretty sure I would rather go 4-12 than 8-8 and miss the playoffs. The draft next year will have some good QBs that I think we should go after if we can land a top pick.
That's crazy, no QB since 1988 has thrown 30 interceptions in a season. I get that you are trying to be super pessimistic, but there is literally no chance of that happening. Eli Manning got to be that terrible last year because he gets extra leeway because his team won 2 SB's in the past, any other QB would be benched long before hitting even the 28 interceptions that he had last year. If Fitz is on pace to throw 20+ interceptions, you'll see Case or Savage at QB.
We will see. I thought this about Kubiak when he said he could make Carr into a great Quarterback Rocket River
