The latest Akame ga Kill trailer. I'm so in on this. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/sasgDq9jidk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Didn't we already have a P4 anime? Or was that P3? Nice, SAO is coming back! Is FATE the same as the ones about knights looking for the holy grail? Is Pyscho-Pass the same anime as the weird one a few seasons ago? It is, it's recut into 11 shows. There's always so many new anime every season...guess I'll download them all and skimp through them to see if I'll be interested or not.
Don't think there was another persona series. Yes, hope it delivers as much as the first half and not rushed. Haven't finished the original, but this one is a spin off of illyasviel von einzbern becoming a magical girl. Yes, edited version with new scenes.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persona:_Trinity_Soul Yea, it's based off P3 if you're interested in watching it.
New to anime - completed Attack on Titan which was amazing. Looking for similar anime with great story / characters - excluding AFM:B, death note, and SOA - didn't like em (and i know those are considered some of the best anime series ever, but just personal preference i suppose)
hmmm AOT is sort of an unusual one for me so I don't really have any to recommend that are "similar". A lot of the guys liked Kill La Kill - it's on netflix too. It has a lot of comedy in it though, not anywhere close to as serious as AOT.
My bad - I didn't mean similar as in similar story to AOT, but I meant similar in the sense of an anime that has an interesting story / great characters like AOT. I'll give kill la kill a shot. What about Highschool of the dead? I know it's considered 'fan service' but the story does sound interesting.
Log Horizon even though you said you didn't like SAO Hunter x Hunter Yowamushi Pedal - seems out of place, but I'm so hyped up on it right now. Gurren Lagann Samurai 7 Samurai Champloo Black Lagoon I could say Hotd is the fanservice driven zombie apocalypse version of AoT. I think you'll like it. Just very incomplete. Can't even remember where it stopped.
Oh gotcha... I agree with rr14 that log horizon is good... It's starts much much better than SAO. And Yowapeda is one I'm loving as well. I really liked what was there of HSOTD but there isn't many episodes and they don't get very far into the story You may like one piece but I'll warn it moves kinda slow and the number of episodes is daunting but I do think it has some good characterization in it....but it takes a while to really get to know them. Chihayafuru is one that I really think has good characters as well... Plus it has that competition/sports feel to it as well because it's based around karuta. Ummm ... One that just ended that I thought was well written was Nagi no Asukara. Plus the graphics in it are awesome. Other than that two of my absolute favorites are ouran high school host club and the melancholy of suzumiya haruhi.... Ouran is on netflix but the rest I mentioned are on crunchyroll. I have guest passes if you want one for that site if you don't mind commercials or watching on the computer you can see them on the anime here website
lol this may be the first season we don't watch mostly the same stuff. My summer list includes Free eternal summer - cause I can't pass up the abs! Ao Haru Ride - based on a manga I read Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun - also based on a manga Love stage - this falls under the yaoi category lol so I expect no one but me on here to watch it And probably I will try the new sailor moon...simply because my offline friends actually tell me that I will like sailor moon.... I have never seen any of it previously
You never know, as you should know by now, I'm also way into romance stuff lol. Just none of the ones listed are eye catching. Will give 99% of the shows a chance (besides free ) that crunchyroll gets. Let us know every week how that yaoi anime goes. I know I most likely won't keep at it. Didn't even watch the yuri one they had last season. Dude I was so hyped up to see sohoku catch up at the last minute, but instead we get Kyoto fujishimi background. Like I want to see any of that, I hate that team right now lol. HxH doing what they always do, solid job Oh ace of the diamond...... WHY YOU NO HAVE EPISODE LAST WEEK?!?! I'd also add baby steps as one of my favorites also followed by haikyuu. Never thought I'd say tennis and volleyball were amazing. So sad that kawai complex guide and one week friends are over so soon when the getting just got good. Hope the Manga goes English so I can continue on even without an adaptation.
Yeah I am loving on that one too. I don't mind the backstory for the Kyoto team as long as it's not the freak... The rest of that team I feel for lol! I think there is only one more Yowapeda left, but I don't feel like they can finish the story so hopefully it did well enough for a second season. I like Haiykuu so much I read ahead in the manga. But I am a volleyball nut so it's not surprising to me that I am enjoying it. Baby steps is one I wasn't sure that I would like because tennis is sooooo boring to watch.. But now after seeing more of what is behind the scenes and enjoying the anime I may have to try watching real matches again.
Going to finally start in on Yowamushi tomorrow. You guys have convinced me to squeeze it in. Enjoyed the 12 ep run of No Game No Life but it probably won't be getting a 2nd run anytime soon since it already covered half of the LN it's based on. Too bad since that was one of the few animes of that genre that I genuinely enjoyed. Also, just have to mention, the latest episode of HunterXHunter featuring the farewells of Meruem and Komugi was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen animated. It was very touching and affecting... and it primarily featured the main villain of the arc! It's freaking amazing the way Yoshihiro Togashi routinely takes most shounen tropes and just stomps them into dust. What an extremely talented mangaka. Also, this isn't technically an anime since it's American made but everyone I know that loves anime loves it too, so f it, I'm posting it anyway: BOOK 3 OF LEGEND OF KORRA STARTS FRIDAY! WHOOOOO!
Yowapeda has already announced a season 2 for October 2014! Last episode of this season should finish the second day of the inter high. Hopefully season 2 will finish the final day and go into onoda's second year. Keep me updated on what you think of yowapeda. One of my favorite sports anime. I'd put it above ace of the diamond, but not by much. Going to start the Manga for NGNL since it's unlikely to get a season 2 for a long while and volume 1 in English comes out in October. I almost teared up that episode, but clannad afterstory has slightly toughened me up to not burst into tears during an anime. Chairman selection arc to begin next episode so excited to finally see kurapika, leorio, ging, and hisoka all back. It's been way too long. I loved the scene between palm and meruem. Him kneeling to an inferior being just to see komogi again was beautiful in its own right, but the end scene will go down in anime history as one of the best imo. Madhouse has done an amazing job.
The latest HxH is brilliant. One of the best single eps in my anime history. Spoiler Did you also catch the reference to how Mereums name is light, while Komogi is blind? At the end, where he keeps calling out to her because he lost his sight/dying.
Since nobody mentioned it, I'm assuming this is more a niche anime that I like. But this is probably the most anticipated anime for me in at least a year. Probably since the huge dud that was Guilty Crown... Aldnoah.Zero. But then again, I'm very much a fan of Urobuchi Gen's work. 2nd most anticipated would be Psycho Pass 2. Also will watch Tokyo Ghoul to round out this season's watch list. At least for now. I think the new one is Persona Golden. As someone who have played the game(both original on PS2 and Golden on PSV), this is probably more a money grab than anything else. The differences in the story is not that major.
