thats fine and dandy but Lebron is smart enough to know that Harden is a better fit next to him than Melo... plus Melo will be out of his prime soon and he would just be in the same sinking ship he is now with Wade.
Wait, I'm confused as to what you are saying "our adds are slim on a Melo"... what does that even mean?
What you people need to get straight is that you people don't know what Les Alexander and Daryl Morey think. All players are assets. Whether they get traded or not depends on whether the right situation arises in the market.
Obviously, I meant "odds" but really I'm just speculating. If I was a free agent, I feel like having Hollins on the coaching staff would be an appealing draw.
While this is generally true the fact that Harden single handily turned us into a premier destination has guaranteed that he will be the main cog for us for the next decade. Anybody that thinks different is crae care.
Gratitude doesn't win championships. If Harden's presence helped attract Dwight, you thank him for it then pretty much disregard it in terms of future moves. It's not about what Harden did for you before, it's about what you think he can do for you in the future. It was nice that Dwight wanted to play with him. But last year was last year, do we know if Dwight still enjoys playing with Harden now? Do we know whether current free agents want to play with Harden. If you can get the right return for Harden and make the team better, you move him regardless of whether he was important in recruiting Dwight last season. The same goes with every other player. Even Hakeem Olajuwon got traded and Les Alexander should be more grateful for what Hakeem did for the team than what everyone else has ever done for his Rockets.
James Harden is our future bruh our success is directly tied to how good he becomes... He is our franchise player! Hakeem wanted out bro, Les wanted him to retire a Rocket because he was grateful but Dream thought he had something left and he was wrong.
Plus there is literally no way we could trade Harden and get fair value... 25 year old All NBAers are not just growing on trees ya know?
#1) That is 100% correct - Harden is not going anywhere. #2) This *absolutely* did not require a new thread. One star for OP.
Sadly enough, there are people who want us to dump Harden. It seems that we've spoiled fans the last few years with relative success and they've forgotten already what it's like to suck.
Can we get one thing straight? At this point, nobody, INCLUDING DARRYL MOREY knows exactly what is gonna happen.
Curry is bad at defense but at least he tries. He has the attitude. It's a totally different thing if someone's got the physical tools but just choose not to play defense.
Harden is in nobody's championship future unless he improves his D substantially. The guy is heading into his 6th season and actually REGRESSED as a defender in his 5th year when the team was trying to make a playoff run. Sure he may get better, but you can't count in substantial improvement until it actually happens. There is a decent chance that 5th year Harden is what we will get in the future more or less. Maybe he just isn't motivated to change. He's getting paid and having you people kiss his ass regardless.
Gambling for steals isn't the same as trying on defense. You people can keep living in you people's fantasy land.
