Depends on your definition of RPG. Transistor and Trine 2 are both quite good and have strong RPG elements.
The answer to your question about cloning is yes. I wikipedia'd all the plots a long time ago cus I'm weird and I do that. I'm aware on the GZ being short thing, but I believe it's about $20 now.
Dragon Age: Inquisition will be out in a few months. Also I get that it's not exactly the same thing, but um...Final Fantasy is technically already out on PS4. http://www.gamestop.com/ps4/games/final-fantasy-xiv-a-realm-reborn/113929
I played the MMORPG for a few days but I couldn't get into it. I really just want a single player multi party story driven RPG.
Yeah they just had a sale on it in the psn stor ep where it was like $17 or something I think. Don't know if it's still going on. Def getting MGS5 tho and even more hyped for it after seeing that video. Hope we get it next year. Kojima is making it seem like the release is a far ways out. Want him to finish it up so hopefully he'll start working on a new Zone of the Enders...that would look glorious on PS4
It's going to be awhile till we get a true JRPG on PS4. Best to hold on to your PS3 if you have one for when Persona 5 comes out. The Tales games aren't too bad either and there will be a few more of those coming out for PS3 as well
So I am a happy Xbox One owner who just got a PS4 yesterday. I am excited to have both, as both bring something great to the table (just so I don't get labeled as a fanboy later, not that it would particularly bother me, haha). That being said, I am looking for some advice/suggestions from the collective trust... Are there any must-have games that you would recommend? I saw that The Last of Us Remastered either just came out or is about to. I never got a chance to play it on the PS3, so I am thinking this is a perfect time to play through it now. I read all the great things that you guys wrote about it here, so that might be my first game. Is there a good price-point I should look out for? I try not to play the full price on a game, so any and all deals are greatly appreciated. Also, what price range should I realistically set for Playstation Plus? I know for Xbox Live, I'll shoot for $35-$40. I will not pay full price for PS+, but how often does it go on sale, and when should I jump on a deal? Sorry the newb questions, but I'm excited to get in on the PS4 action when I want a change of pace from Titanfall. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
The Last of Us comes out on July 29th. Infamous second son is worth the price of entry. Transistor is a very good exclusive indie game. As for PS Plus $40 is about right.
Last of Us Remastered has also dropped to $50 everywhere so it's not a bad price. $40 would be a nobrainer for me but $50 is still good for such a good game
Also I notice sometimes best buy will sell the psn+ year long subscription at a discount so look out for that as well. I have just kept mine on auto-renew because it's honestly such a great deal. I get to play games free that I may have missed. Recently just played through Metro Last Light which was an excellent game that I got to download for free from ps plus and they will usually have good sales on the psn store every so often where ps plus members get an even bigger discount. I might have a month long subscription somewhere that you could use to try it out if I can find the damn thing
Addicted to that game right now man. You probably noticed me on that 99% of the time since I got you on my friends list. Level 50 black mage and level 40 miner!!! Most likely going to stay on ffxiv until destiny comes out. I really want a Disgaea game to come out for the ps4 ASAP. My favorite game.
FFX - my favorite game of all time. No other game I've played has come close to that game for me personally. But sadly, Square Enix is a joke of a company right now. Final Fantasy XV could revive the franchise, but that game has been in development since 2006. 8 years later, and there is still no word on a release date. I'm guessing it won't come out until 2016.
Making my first post in this thread. Wish I had hoped on during e3, would have been cool reading y'all's opinion on each game and the sony press conference.
I'm not sure if it will be deemed more appropriate to be put in the classified section, but as I just asked about PlayStation Plus going on sale recently, I just saw this on slickdeals, and jumped on it: http://slickdeals.net/f/7025388-sony-playstation-plus-1-year-membership-39-99-back-again I figured it might help others, and I apologize if I posted in the wrong forum. To keep it more on topic though, I do have a question. Does getting PS+ now (or when I receive it next week or whatever) allow me to go back and play the games that were previously free on it? Or do I just get the free games starting the month of my subscription?
