I wouldn't get your hopes up. None of the free agents can make a move on draft night.

    Ian O'Connor(ESPN NY):

    Why isn't Houston being considered?

I think they are being considered but the problem is, can you picture Carmelo's game matching up with Harden's game? He believes more in Tom Thibodeau than he does Kevin McHale. The fit with Rose and Noah is the better fit than with Harden. You'd need five basketballs, particularly in the Western Conference that is so much more difficult to navigate than the East.

This team desperately needs a true point guard. I think Melo will work as a stretch 4, but he also gives us a mid-range game that we need whenever our 3's aren't falling.

Reporters act like Derrick Rose is Steve Nash or Jason Kidd. Rose is more like Westbrook.

Add another to the list that has never watched Harden play here. He averages more assists than anyone here.

At least Harden will be in the game. Rose?

Compare Rose's MVP year to Harden last year:

Rose took more shots per game (even when you factor in free throws)
    Had a higher usage rate
Gave you a little less than 2 extra assists

I'm not trying to kill Rose here, but this idea that Harden is some ball dominant ball stopper but Rose is a distributor that anyone can fit with is crazy.

If only he had the "heart" to defend on a consistent basis.

Sounds like pure conjecture on his part, but it could very well be in line with Melo's thoughts. Let's hope not, or in the very least hope that we can convince him otherwise.

I think Lin or Asik won‘t go on draft night, since none has enough cap space to absorb their contract, the deal should be done on July 11st

Think they can create enough cap room to get Rose a nice set of pom-poms?

Rose is every bit as bad a defender as Harden.

More like a cheer leader, on the bench.

Hard to defend when you don't play lol. He's literally a ghost out there.

I'm really starting to think that Melo is going to Chicago. Which is probably a good thing because I feel like Lebron, Bosh, or even Lowry are better fits than Melo here.

If Melo leaves NY for Chicago then he's an absolute idiot. Rose + Melo would be good for the third seed at best in the East, and thats with a healthy Rose. Might as well stay in NY and let Phil build a contender. While raking in an extra $30 mill in guaranteed money.
