<br> I hope the outcome of this last USA match opened up your eyes and changed all of your perspectives on this. Any random goal can dictate a match even when a team plays horribly otherwise.
Agreed the usa belongs at the WC. They are a team that can beat almost any opponent on the right night. Ofcourse they are not ime of the top countries (not top 10 in the world) and i do not see them winning a WC soon. But they are going in the right direction.
Opened up my eyes to a game I've played, coached and refereed for nearly 35 years? His comment was that the US gave Ghana no trouble. The US won the game 2-1. Clearly, they gave Ghana trouble at least twice. I never said we weren't outplayed. In fact, I've said quite a few times that I was concerned about how we played in that game before yesterday. I can think of at least 2 plays yesterday where Portugal gave us trouble. But, thank you for making me see the light.
It's nice to be able to watch Chile without the stress of elimination or not. I don't really care if we win or lose, since Brazil (who will most likely win) has the advantage of being able to decide if they come in 2nd or 1st since they play after us. Brazil will want to play us, but I think we can handle them. Last two friendlies were 2-2 and 2-1 for Brazil. But one step at a time, let's take care of Netherlands now! Vamos Chile!! PS, out of all the possible outcomes, my least favorite is Chile vs Mexico. I'd rather play Brazil or Croatia instead of Mexico.
This idiot asks: Can somebody explain the reasoning for soccer using stoppage time rather than just stopping the clock when necessary?
