I agree. He's like a bigger version of McRoberts.

Nice, I like him. Everyone is focusing on making a big splash, but I honestly feel players like him are what the Rockets should be going after.

Someone logically explain to me why the Warriors need a stretch 4.

    This should be good.

They don't have an inside presence on offense at all. Not even a guy that can crash the boards. Another guy crowding the perimeter is the last thing they need. Channing Frye is a worse fit on that team than David Lee, who is a mid-range shooter and decent passer.

Crowding the perimeter? Is that even possible?

    Because it's the "in" thing. They want a stretch 1, a stretch 2, a stretch 3, a stretch 4, and a stretch 5. They even hired a stretch coach.

Seriously, I hear you. Why would they a want a stretch 4 if nobody on their team demands a double team in the paint? Just guard everybody one-on-one.

David Lee while a decent passer and finisher was a horrific mid range shooter last year shooting well under 40%.

The Warriors want a stretch four like most teams that do, to open up the middle of the floor and to enhance spacing. This would make it extremely difficult for teams to trap Curry above the three point line AND recover to defend the paint. Furthermore the increased spacing would more open up the paint to dribble penetration for Curry, Iggy and Thompson.

Teams such as the Spurs, Suns, Knicks, 2012-2013 Rockets and others have shown that a four out offense can result in highly proficient offense. In many of these cases, having an interior presence offensively was not required.

Did you watch Howard in the playoffs? Sure he's not dream but one on one he can do work. Love space. MORE SPACE!

I'm not sure we're on the same page. I was talking about why would Golden State want a stretch 4 if they don't have inside presence like the Rockets. Rockets, on the other hand, would greatly benefit from it. ;)

tbh, I think we can do better than Frye at MLE..

He's essentially what DMo promises to be but with significant rebounding problems

Why would he opt out of that kind if money at that age? I don't see him getting a long term deal due to his heart condition

I actually think there is a good chance he will be PAID! as in overpaid this of off season and if not, he will in the very least get a FML exception offer for 4 years.

Frye would be a nice bench piece if we have to give up Jones to get one of the big free agents.

I always said T. Jones reminds me of a younger shorter Channing Frye. I think he'd be great offensively but provides the same deficiency that Jones posses. No defense but having a bigger body maybe with Hollins coaching he can use his length to disrupt
