This puzzles me though. This tweet is telling us that Minnesota will trade him wherever he wants to go. If he wants Houston or Golden State, what's stopping Boston or Los Angeles from trumping the offer of Love's desired team? Unless Love is refusing to extend with all but one team...
Depends on the offer. If they're taking Love + another contract for Boozer's expiring, then definitely yes. But if they trade Gibson+Dunleavy+picks/Mirotic, they may have enough left to still make a trade offer to the Knicks for Melo. But it does look like Minnesota wants to dump some salary with Love though.
You pretty much answered it yourself. The stars dictate where they want to go, or else the agents start freezing out their previous teams.
Danny Ainge has stated in the past that he's willing to trade for a star without a guarantee of extension. Morey obviously is too. I'm sure Chicago will still try to sneak in as the top trading partner with Minnesota even if Love wants to go elsewhere. To me it looks like Minnesota is being charitable to Love. I don't see how Kevin being non-commital will scare every other team off because it didn't scare off teams when Dwight was on the block.
If we land Love, it's because the Wolves want Eric Gordon, who has constantly been a player we have been linked to. I think we could possibly acquire Love and hold onto Parsons if we could get Gordon to Minny in a 3 Way deal. If they are so hot on paying the max to Thompson, why not take EGO?
Umm because Gordon is never healthy. I know they've been linked to them but Kahn is gone right? Even Minny isn't that dumb
I'm guessing he still ends up in Boston. I've said that since Rondo commented on the Anthony situation. Rondo/Love/Melo... That's my guess without knowing the salary cap situation or anything of importance really lol
Yea, I'm not hot on him, but I have a hunch that New Orleans is interested in dealing for Asik and I can definitely see that playing a role in our next move.
Because Hennigan at the time thought LA, Denver and Philly's offer was the best. And he was right. We know it didn't scare the Rockets off. Remember when Woj said "it's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when Dwight gets traded to Houston"?
