Next year, the Spurs will have probably lost the eye of the tiger.

The Sixers start to lack incentive after draft day. They want to collect those first rounders in order to trade up the draft.

It's really beginning to seem like a 180 here. From "Rockets plan "to bring in a terrific free agent"" to we're OK with keeping Lin & Asik. Damage control already creeping in?

Lin killing the Rockets' chances again.

People have brought up Biedrins & Jefferson but the Jazz got 5 draft picks, Brandon Rush, and cash out of that deal.

Exactly and Chalmers not showing up. Heat had no PG production in the series. If the big 3 stay they should be looking for a PG not PF/SF Carmelo. Kyle Lowery would be great fit for the Heat.

Rush was dead salary. They didn't use him. Had no intention of using him. He was simply on the roster to possibly be flipped at the deadline for another asset. So, they got nothing out of Rush on the court because they didn't play him and they got nothing out of Rush by flipping him because he wasn't traded.

Rush was jusy injured again. He had the skillsets and played the posiitions they were in need. He was a semi-throw away contract their front office could gamble on.

You think the Rockets would let three 2nd-round picks and two picks in the 20s keep them from LeBron James or Carmelo Anthony? They'd give those up and then some in about 0.9 seconds, if needed.

In other words, all the easier for the Rockets to clear space.

Morey has the Rocks sitting pretty as far as having all our picks in play. Can't hurt!

We should be able to attach #25 to Lin and deal him quite easily, especially to a team in a small market that needs some marketability work.

That or as part of a Melo S&T.

The Suns have 4 draft picks. 3 of them are first rounders. Teams generally don't like bringing in so many rookies in one year. As rumors go they're looking to trade out on some of those picks and Sarver has made it known in the past he doesn't like acquiring players through the draft.

just look through the teams with cap space. It may cost us a first and potentially even TJones to sell Lin, but we can do it.

    Asik is a no-brainer.

I have no doubts that Morey can free the space.

Draft night should be interesting! Could be the tall-tell sign of the future.

I don't get why the Sixers lack incentive after draft day. These guys are planning for the future and won't stop doing it after June 27. There will be another draft next year, in which Sam Hinkie no doubt wants to have multiple picks to either use or trade.

I wonder if Hinkie will become a better GM than Morey....He surely has a chance to be.This year will be major.

Morey should try to get Darren Collision since he opt out of the clippers. Good move or no?

I wonder if we could foist Lin and the #25 and the rest of the 2013-14 money on Philadelphia ($1.6 million?) and NY could fork up $3 million for the #32 and #39. We take the #57 or whatever they have.

Nor do I. The only danger we run is if Chicago can entice the Knicks for an SnT and we won't be able to match if we give up too much of our assets unloading salary. But I don't think either guy is untradeable. They're both serviceable players and their deals are expiring.

ESPN's Ramona Shelbourne just said she hears 5 or 6 teams are ready to take Lin and/or Asik. FYI.....
