That would be great. Just as Lebron and Dwight are starting to decline- Harden reaches his prime and our role players really solidify.

    Our only chance at Lebron...

The way I see it - our only chance at Lebron is if Melo joins the Bulls and creates this.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>NBA peeps are worried about the Bulls right now. A starting 5 of Rose, Afflalo, Carmelo, Taj + Noah w/ Butler as 6th man is VERY doable.</p>&mdash; Bill Simmons (@BillSimmons) <a href="https://twitter.com/BillSimmons/statuses/480758529540624385">June 22, 2014</a></blockquote>
    <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
    <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>FYI - Bulls could trade Boozer's expiring + 16 + 19 to Orlando for Afflalo and 2 waivable deals. Then use Mirotic to dump Snell/Dunleavy.</p>&mdash; Bill Simmons (@BillSimmons) <a href="https://twitter.com/BillSimmons/statuses/480759642222366720">June 22, 2014</a></blockquote>

Lebron would know the Bulls with a healthy Rose are better than his Heat and he would need to leave to keep winning.

Is that actually doable or is Simmons spouting nonsense again?

Why would LeDiva or Marshmallow want to gamble on DR staying healthy, especially with other viable options available?

According to our very own David Weiner, if they stripped all contracts but Rose, Noah, Gibson, Afflalo, and Butler, the Bulls would only be able to pay Melo $11M. Bill Simmons needs to pull his head out of his ass..

There is also the question of why Orlando would do this.

ESPN does this **** all the time. They just think of about 5 teams, all the other teams are really irrelevant and the 5 teams they care about can willy nilly dump their trash on other teams to create superteams.

If that's the case, I don't see LeBron staying with Miami. I can't see Wade making that much money and them being any better next season.

Dwyane Wade can't get half of what he's making now on the open market. No way in hell he opts out of his current contract. He's got the end of his career in sight, now it's onto Jalen Rose's "Cashin Dem Checks" mode.

If Lebron was really smart, not only would he choose Houston but he would find a way to also keep the core of the team from last year. Including Asik, Parsons and yes, Lin.

Not having a deep bench is what hurt the Heat, and another big 3, no matter the city, without a talented bench will be a repeat of 2014.

    Howard/Asik
    Lebron/Parsons/Covington
    Harden/Daniels
    Bev/Lin
    Jones/D-Mo

Canaan, draft picks, cheap vet would have work hard to get in that rotation. Jones, D-Mo, Canaan or draft pick(s) could also be packaged for a true stretch 4.

Is Lebron supposed to take the MLE? Otherwise, how do you get him without sending out money? Even a really smart Lebron cannot just cancel the salary cap.

Yes. Take MLE for a year. I know its not realistic but he can make his money a year, and another ring, later. Parsons would have to sign for a lot less than he expects as well.
