    There's a feel out there the Clippers will go after Carmelo if he becomes a FA. I don't know what their plan is to do that. These next 10 days, if he opts out, which we all expect him to do, is whether the Knicks will agree to sign and trade scenarios. If they open that door, all the sudden you're bringing in more teams. If the Knicks go down that path, the Clippers are one of the teams that could get interesting.

    Bulls viable spot for LeBron?

    A few years ago Derrick Rose did not recruit LeBron. That left a sour taste. LeBron is frustrated with [Heat] ownership not going deep into the tax. That's a concern with Chicago.

    I think you'll see Carmelo going out taking meetings, meeting with Chicago, LA, Houston[Houston wants to bring him to Houston to show off their new facilities]...I think the Knicks will offer him the full max. I know there's talk of taking less money. You let it sit on the table and hope Phil can talk him into it. I think he wants to stay and is happy in New York.

    It wouldn't surprise me if Melo was just using Houston (and Chicago?) as leverage. I mean, he did it to us before, right?

    Carmelo Anthony's 30th birthday party was INSANE this weekend -- with surprise performances ... super expensive champagne ... and a RARE pair of Nikes that's driving the shoe community NUTS.

    It all went down at the NoMad Hotel in NYC -- where huge stars like Nas, Swizz Beatz and Busta Rhymes all performed for Anthony and his famous friends.

    The guest list was A-list all the way -- Alicia Keys, Chris Rock, Ciara, Jessica Stam and Tyson Beckford.

    At one point, Chris Paul called in ... he was put on speaker phone and reportedly said, "We have a new owner. Sign with the Clippers!"

    But EVERYONE in the party was talking about Carmelo's shoes -- a pair of Jordan 11 All Reds ... shoes that no one can buy and may have been custom made just for C.M.

    It's like seeing a mermaid riding on a unicorn making out with Kate Upton.

    Even Nas tweeted about it ... "@carmeloanthony had the crazy feets on last night. I need these!!!!"

    Those shoes sure would look good paired with a rockets uni. I mean they are Red and White. (Not Red and Black, or Red and Blue).
