Blatt makes Cleveland slightly more likely. If they can maneuver to secure Gortat as well as retaining their pick, they could be an intriguing destination.

Core of Kyrie + Waiters + #1Pick is scary within the right system

maybe i've been out of the game for a while, but how did we all a sudden out of no where become front runners for lebron? if you would have said this 3 months ago you would have got neg repped and called an idiot for saying something so stupid

There was a time where I creamed my pants after getting Kevin Martin.

We have come quite a long way.

If lbj comes here its over. We will be the team to beat for the next 5+ years.
Not only will he come over to THE Western Conference, but every team will be giving us their best shot all season long...and we'll still win ;) . It will be glorious!

Let's not get too ahead of ourselves. We'll definitely be contenders but the West is BRUTAL.

As the Spurs demonstrated, Elite teams will exploit your weaknesses ruthlessly. Even WITH Lebron on the roster, the team will have a LONG way to go in terms of optimizing the team's offense and defense.

As we saw in the finals, if you have too few options on offense the opposing team can key in and take one or two of them away. And if you have people dogging it on defense, they'll pound on those gaps over and over again.

We'll still need to shore up the bench and get everyone on the same page.

And it's not like the Spurs, Clippers, OKC, Memphis or Dallas are just going to roll over for us ala the Bobcats, Wizards and Nets of the world.

    One step at time...

Uh, would LBJ actually want to go back to Cleveland, after the way he left? When the city was left gutted / humiliated, and swore vengeance against him?

To save face, maybe. Doubt he does it though, considering how poorly the organization is run.

Is there ANY chance of LBJ staying with Miami and Miami signing Carmelo and Bosh and leaving Wade out to dry? No one has discussed the possibility and that would be a scary team AND it would screw up our plans....

It's possible but I doubt it seeing as Wade is the one with the option and I'm sure there is a no trade clause in his contract. And there is no way Wade is opting out of $20 million

No, excluding injury the Rockets would be favorites to win the title. The Spurs success against the Heat was largely do to a lack of contribution from Bosh and Wade.
It is all a pipe dream anyway, I don't see him leaving Miami.

Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but is he saying they want to keep Asik/Lin if they can't get LBJ/Melo?

0%, it's franchise suicide with the players association. Wade only opts out if he has assurances of a team offer with backpay to compensate his loss. No agent would deal with them if they then turned around and froze him out until the Arisons sold the team.
