Exactly. And if you do make it to the Finals through the West, you're practically guaranteed the prize unless you have a historic choke.

Take Miami out of the picture, add LeBron to any Western team, and who in the East would stand a snowball's chance of beating that team?

Go after him and don't apologize for it.

If he wants to have a shot a winning multiple championships again he has to go to a roster that will improve with age.

We are his best shot long term to maximize his window to move up on the list of the greatest all time.

    We're tailor made for him:

    PG Beverly
    SG Harden
    SF Parsons
    PF LeBron
    C Howard

with a bench of young players who can improve over the next few years in T Jones, DMo, Canaan, Daniels and whomever we draft this year. We will improve with age over his contract unlike the Heat.

We also have a GM who is ideal to build around stars.

That team has the three best players in the league at three positions and could possibly become more dominant than his earlier Heat team.

He can't waste any years at this point and has to maximize his window. How bad does he want to be the greatest?

That makes sense. The only way he stays is if the big 3 opt out pf their contracts and takes less so they can sign some more players, and of course he'll be opting out if he leaves, so either way he'll almost definitely opt out whether he stays in Miami or not.

James is a top 5 player of ALL TIME people. Why not go for him.

To all who said don't go after James full force. Thank God your not a GM, especially the Rockets GM.

    Do you think?

It's either LeBron or Melo on our squad next year.

I'll go out on a limb and say LeBron will be the next Rocket.

Opting out doesn't necessarily mean Lebron is leaving Miami. He WILL opt out because it gives him (and Miami) the most flexibility and options.

I can't see him opting out and remaining in Miami. No way he is gonna sign a multi year agreement with Miami with the state that roster and Wade/Bosh are in. The only way I can see that is if Miami pulls off a free agent miracle which is very unlikely. I think if he stays in Miami he will opt in for another season. If he opts out it means he is very serious about leaving Miami imo.

Pls don't make a push. We hardly come out winning. With Morey awkward social skills our chances deplete. You come off as a condescending smart allic prick.

Harden and Dwight will take care of this.

Lol at a caravan full rowdy fano attempt or a ****ing ipad

I think he is doing the right thing by not bugging Lebron... Lebron is smart enough to make the right decision for himself and Dwight knows how hard it is to think straight when everybody's pulling you in a different direction. And ultimately I think Lebron will respect that.

I'm sure his kids probably like wrestling, so we can use the Undertaker as a Houstonian dinner guest.

If we got LeBron we should erect a statue of Morey in front of the Toyota Center.

I don't even care if that team somehow never wins a title.

Morey is god regardless of what happens in the future.

Shouldn't this one be merged with the all-out LeBron thread? This article basically is a re-hash of Howard Beck's pretty good article on bleacherreport.

Yeah probably so... Crazy that CBS is now sourcing Bleacher Report... BR has been stepping up their game the past year or so. Becoming a reputable source.

One of the most underrated aspects of our pitch to LeBron is having Parsons and TJones on the roster. Between those two, you can keep LeBron's minutes to under 35 for the season, and allows him to sit for a significant amount of games throughout.

We need to do the same for Howard....hopefully Okafor is back at full strength and is willing to sign for the minimum.
