So I guess I'm the only one that doesn't want LeBron here?

You know it's bs cuz the clippers are mentioned...It damn near impossible for them to clear cap room when they are over already 15 million

Give me a break. Of course you sign Lebron James 7 days a week. Howard>Bosh, Hard > Wade. Lebron would single highhandedly guarantee going to the WCF. The WCF would essentially become the NBA finals. The NBA finals would be a 4 game coronation.

LOL since when was choosing your own team and who you play with immoral? I don't really understand the LBJ hate, people accuse him of "teaming up" but the fact is MJ teamed up with Phil Jackson, Pippen and Rodman, Bird teamed up with Mchale and Parish, Harden teamed up with Dwight etc. etc. The only difference is that it was a GM who orchestrated the move, whereas with LBJ it was a GM (Riley obv was in the loop otherwise he wouldn't have cleared cap space) and 3 players.

Everyone has a right to choose who they work with and where they work, esp. in LBJ's case as he was a free agent. The same is true with Melo, I don't like the way the dude plays and would rather just keep this current team than get him, but I'm not disguising my bias against him under a veneer of "immorality" or that he would "devalue our wins" like that other poster said. Just admit you don't like LBJ no matter how good he is, simple as that. Unlike someone like Melo (who is incredibly inefficient,ISO heavy and slacks on D like Harden), there isn't a good reason to sign LBJ to the squad as he is still the best player in the league.

Ray Lewis was involved in a murder investigation. The same for Kobe and the rape investigation. That is not imaginary. No, they weren't convicted. Neither was O.J. Do you believe he's innocent too?

It's absolutely crystal clear now that you have an issue with star players that you consider divas. See my question below, but I can only imagine that you felt the same about Howard before he came here.

So you admit Dwight pulled almost the same thing Lebron is doing. So I ask again, were you this adamant about not getting Howard? Are you still mad that he's a Rocket? If we had won a ring this year would it be tainted because he came?

Honestly I don't give a **** what you want. He faked an elbow injury and you don't want him? Are your feelings hurt? Boo hoo. I'd still take the best player on the planet even if he faked an injury once every 3 games.

I get into this argument about this with my friends all the time, especially during the finals. We both root for the Spurs but his reasoning was that he hated Lebron because he formed the big 3. I tell him it's not a big deal, he basically took the situation into his own hands. Would it be any difference if a GM does it? 3 big players are formed. He didn't get any one fired. He didn't throw his teammates under the bus. He just... left. People need to stop taking this so personally when it has nothing to do with them.

I rooted against Lebron as well, except against Dallas, well, cuz f**k Dallas. I wanted him to have 0 rings, after he got 1, I was fine with more. If Lebron came here, I'd be rooting for him, every day every play. I'd credit Morey for getting him here, I wouldn't bash Lebron at all. If we went 2/4 in chips, if we went 1/1 and missed 3, I'd be as happy as could be as a fan, it's been 20 years peeps, if u get the chance u take it, period.

He's not the best all time, he is the best of this generation, and putting him on our team is the best move, no other way about it.

"wah waaah waaah... i don't want to win a championship with the best player in the world on our team. i'd rather lose in the first round every year with the ball hogging, iso, no defense playing james harden."

    ridiculous.

Yeah I cannot honestly look any person in their eyes and tell them I don't want Lebron James on the rockets. I feel we are getting Melo but Lebron would be my #1 hope if I was the gm.

Everything aside, I think Melo would be great here, and if King James wants it, bring it on.

Most of the people in this thread daydreaming about kissing Leflops arse are the reason the NBA is starting to suck and lacks the competitive spirit it use to have. I don't want Lebron on the team, I want to beat Lebron. In the future there will be two really good super teams and the rest will be average teams with fans wishing for just one of those stars to be on their team.

That's what people said in 2010 about Miami and OKC but look at where we are now. Championship squads always come and go.

I think if the Rockets can somehow get Lionel Hollins, Lebron will be a lock.

Team up? Phil Jackson was already an assistant coach with the Chicago, Pippen was drafted by the Bulls. Mchale & Parish were also drafted by Boston. You are clearly confused

And I wanted to beat that damn Corvette on my street. But it wasn't going to happen until I upgraded my motor.

Be it Melo, Bosh, James, Love, whatever. We need upgrades. And IMO a huge one at the position of the older guy limping around the bench.

So you mean it will be like it was in 1980s when the Lakers/Celtics dominated the league and everyone was trying like gangbusters to put together a squad that could pull off the 1 year upset before the dynasty resumed?

Otherwise known as the "Golden Era."

This whole thing is laughable. Most NBA fans think the 80s and 90s were the best years in NBA history. 14 out of a possible 20 titles were won by 1 of 3 teams (Lakers, Celtics, Bulls.)
