Define that further Cyberx. Is he not crazy about him as in "No way I'll ever play with him" or more like "well, I don't really like him but I can live with him if need be"?

I just find it odd that if that was already known, he didn't post it before.........I mean, it was kind of as if, he just found out. Or at least that's what I assumed..

    W/e I guess.

I think I'd find Dwight's personality annoying. I'd still want to play with him though.

That means be wants Melo to come to Miami or he wants to play with Melo on another team. I see him going back to Miami. Melo wants to win but I don't see him in Miami unless they could get rid of either Wade or Bosh.

Sometimes I wonder why more people can't see that Cyberx is a Laker lover/Dwight hater. I do appreciate his updates...crap like Cal looking at Lakers...I live in My and that couldn't be further from the truth. Just don't get to upset about some of his posts. They ARE Laker driven in some fashion or another!

Thankfully, Lebron isn't looking for a camping partner. Someone to win titles with is his priority. Not saying that he's coming here but this post doesn't hold much weight.

Dwight could have signed with any number of teams and the national media would have been considered "right" just by virtue of the fact that they fling **** at the wall and something will stick. After Dwight had already agreed to sign with us, he flew back to LA to tell Kupchak in person and ESPN had it at 50/50 that he would change his mind. It was based on nothing, they just wanted to push the "Dwightmare" angle some more. Sports journalism doesn't sell accuracy, they sell opinions and rumors.

Agreed. It reminds me of the hate on here when national experts don't pick us to be one of the top 3 seeds in the West last year, or when they don't pick us to win the title or be in the WCF, or when Barkley says we aren't a contender.

They've been right every year. The Rockets don't get "respect" because they haven't been all that relevant for 15+ years. We've had nice teams, but there's never been a doubt that our competition was better than us...except on this board.

Not really. They throw out a lot of names, but the teams that get thrown out the most generally end up with the playes. Nets would've gotten Dwight if it weren't for some last minute shennanigans with Dwight and the owner. Lakers did get Dwight after everyone said they would. The Rockets were clearly the 2nd option behind Lakers in the 2nd Dwight sweepstakes among the media. Melo was pegged to NY the whole way.

Probably the only time the media totally f****ed was the 2010 FA. But this is certainly nowhere near that level of confusion because there are so few suitors. Rockets, Bulls, Heat are the only contending teams with capspace.

Chris Broussard was just on the radio in Chicago saying Carmelo Anthony is going to the Bulls. That he has talked to Rose and has done his homework. He also said the Bulls intent to keep Taj Gibson AND still get Anthony.

One thing is clear, either the Rockets have bad information OR ESPN has bad information. This is the 3rd person associated with ESPN that has Anthony in Chicago and Houston not even a possibility.

The Rockets seem fairly confident, not even really focusing on anyone other than Anthony.

I don't consider Broussard to be remotely credible, but I do think there is a ton of smoke to this Melo---->Bulls story. It's not that ESPN is reporting he wants to go there, it's the nature of the reports. The specifics. Things like asking players about Thibs, talking to Rose, etc. That's not the type of stuff a reporter just makes up.

I don't think Stein is that trustworthy, but he is head and shoulders more so than Broussard. Broussard doesn't know dick.

Chicago definitely has me feeling pessimistic. I guess we'll see.

It's possible to amnesty Boozer and to trade Dunleavy for a future 1st/2nd and not take salary back. I just don't see how Reinsdorf will be okay with paying Boozer his $17 million for doing absolutely nothing and also looking at paying the luxury tax as well. Maybe he'd do it for this particular team? Still a hard sell for me.

Broussard's sources also said last week that Dwight was definitely staying in LA.

If Melo does that, he will be the anti-Lebron for sure.

Two times he got to pick his own team and twice he picked against his best chance to win, opting instead for "glamor city."

That Bulls team would have a nice starting 5 (obviously) but would have zero bench players, forced to sign 7 guys at the vet minimum. I know people like to talk about ring chasers, but the truth is very few veterans actually go join contenders for the minimum at a point in their career where they can actually contribute.

No way that Bulls team could win a title.

Edit: Especially playing for Thibs. The starters would be so worn out by the end of the season (if they make it there) that they'd be dead tired in the playoffs.
