Haha, nice! I want to wake up, in a city that never sleeps And find I'm king of the hill Top of the heap These little town blues, are melting away I'll make a brand new start of it In old New York If I can make it there, I'll make it anywhere It's up to you, New York..New York
Did anyone else find it really childish that what Riley is essentially saying is: if you leave, then you don't have guts.
Lebron is going back to Cleavland, lol. He'd go to Sacramento, Philly or Orlando before he'd play for Gilbert again.
Lol at calling a bunch of unproven players a boatload of talent.. How many years again and again have they disappointed? It's all about management, and the Cavs have none of it.
what's in Cleveland ? Losing team with rookie coach and BSD management! Yeah I think he will waste last year's of his career there sure
To be fair, the Cavs do have a boatload of talent compared to the average citizen like you and me... except for paulwtfk. He's probably on par with their boatload of talent because he crosses over chanks. What a baller.
Agree. He sounded like someone losing an argument: combative, full of false pride, and ultimately not as smart as he thinks. Will be interesting to see what happens. I'm sure he has a plan, but he doesn't have many ways to "retool" as he says, unless the big 3 take a pay cut.
Kyrie, Wiggins, Lebron would be a nice big three. They would still need a big but shouldnt be hard to attract others.
He retooled before, adding Gary Payton and Antoine Walker. People thought he was a b**** then too. Then he won a title. There's no false pride. That's real pride. There isn't a person in basketball around that has succeeded on all levels like Pat Riley has. I don't think anyone can call him out, ever. He's done too much. Popovich never played in the league. Hell, Riley was even a broadcaster at one point I think.
Maybe Lebron wants to see what it feels like sit in the ping-pong chair...Boom...another #1 overall...small feelings of joy to ease the sting of another losing season.
There's no doubt that Riley is a good roster builder when there are pieces to be had and he has the flexibility to add them.
Nope. It's smart and the truth. They should and will be shamed for jumping ship, especially after "not 5, not 6, not 7...". If they want to avoid that then they know what to do.
So if Howard demanded a trade after the 1st round loss this year, something FAR worse than losing in the finals...what would your opinion of him be?
