[TV] The Summer Schedule - What's good? Looking for New Shows. I think I will binge watch Fargo Some have recommended that I should check out THE 100. Anything else to work through the summer months? Rocket River
Was watching TV awards tonight out of boredom. Fargo won a lot of awards. My sister said Orphan Black was good, if you're into sci-fi. A lot of shows I need to watch. Also need to try Orange is the New Black. There's not much quality television during the summer season, especially now that Breaking Bad is over. I'll mostly use this time to catch up on things I've missed out on.
There is a show called "The Last Ship" on TNT that I've set the DVR to record. I'm a sucker for anything post-apocalyptic, but the reviews I've been reading have been pretty positive. Exec. Producer is Michael Bay, and apparently it lives up to that - lots of 'splosions, lots of action, and very few polysyllabic words.
Assuming you've already seen the big ones like Breaking Bad/Game of Thrones/Mad Men, I would recommend Orphan Black and Parks and Recreation. Two of my favorite shows. Also...John Oliver's new HBO show "Last Week Tonight" is completely hilarious and worth the watch on Sunday nights.
Suits and Graceland both on USA. I'm going to check out The Strain on FX. Continuum on Syfy is vastly underrated; I actually enjoy it more than Orphan Black . Personally, I think Orphan Black is way overrated I don't think people would like this show as much if the main character didnt play so many different roles so well. It's overrated but still good. Below are my mindless Summer shows. Im watching these out of obligation but dont mind the time I waste with them since they are cheesy sci-fi: Defiance Dominion Falling Skies
Rectify (Sundance channel) season 2 premiered tonight. The Leftovers (HBO) and Tyrant (FX) premiere in the next couple of weeks. The Strain (FX), The Bridge season 2 (FX) and Masters of Sex season 2 (Showtime) premiere in a month.
Since you like Sci-Fi, try Defiance. Season 2 premiered last night. Fargo is very enjoyable, but I suggest you savor it. Don't watch more than one episode per night. It's too good to binge on.
Another vote for Orphan Black from me, love that show. If you do decide to give it a try, be sure to watch at least the first 2 episodes, not just the pilot.
Not gonna lie, that's a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine. Show fell off for a little while there, but now it's back on track
